IIS STUDENTS VISIT QATAR OLYMPIC AND SPORTS MUSEUM

Students of the Boys Section of IIS who have elected Physical Education as their optional subject recently experienced an inspiring and educational visit to the Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum. This trip was organized to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the history of sports and the Olympic movement, while also encouraging physical fitness and teamwork. The visit began with a warm welcome from the museum staff, followed by a comprehensive guided tour of the museum’s exhibits. Students explored the Olympic Gallery, which chronicles the evolution of the Olympic Games from ancient times to the modern era. They also visited the Athletes’ Hall of Fame, where they learned about the lives and achievements of legendary athletes from around the world. One of the highlights of the visit was the Interactive Sports Zone, where students engaged in hands-on activities and sports simulations. This interactive experience not only made learning fun but also emphasized the importance of physical activity and a healthy lifestyle. Mr. Mohammad Nowfal VM, Head of Physical Education, and Vijayant Thappa escorted the students.

Students of Ideal Indian School joined the world in celebrating Mothers’ Day to honour and thank mothers all over the world for their sacrifice, compassion, care and everything else that they stand for. Students in all sections enthusiastically participated in various activities to express their love, respect, honor, and gratitude towards their mothers. IIS RECORDS 100% SUCCESS IN CBSE CLASS X EXAMS

Ideal Indian School produced excellent results in the CBSE Class X Board Examination. The school achieved 100% success. Out of 308 students, who appeared for the examination 124 students secured Distinction while 108 secured First Class. The first position is secured by Venika Anil with 98.2% while Rabeea Abdul Khadar and Fatima Khairi Hassan Osman secured the second position with 97.6%. Gauri Resmi Prakash secured the third position with 96.8%. IIS STUDENTS EXCEL IN CLASS XII EXAMS

Ideal Indian school produced outstanding results in the CBSE Class XII Board Examination. Out of 261 students who appeared for the examinations, 162 students secured Distinction while 82 students got First Class. Safa Fathima topped with 96.8% in the Science Stream, followed by Noorel Huda Marwan with 96.4%. The third topper in the Science stream is Rishikesh Sarkar with 96.2%. In the Commerce Stream, Anandithaa Devi M V secured the top position with 95.2% followed by Maryam Mohammed Ali Nasser with 91.8% and the third position is secured by Fatma Sana Yusuf with 90.8%. Amina Hafiz emerged topper in the Humanities Stream with 92.2% while Fatma Shahad secured second position with 90.4% and third by Fida Zuhair with 89.6%. IIS HONOURS MERITORIOUS STUDENTS

Ideal Indian School felicitated meritorious students who made it to the Principal’s Honors List by securing higher grades in the school’s final examinations during the academic year 2023-24. A special assembly was organized in the school recently to honor nearly 600 meritorious students from the Junior, Boys’, and Girls’ Sections. Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb awarded medals and certificates to the students. On this occasion, the Principal extended congratulations to the students, applauding their hard work and perseverance, and offered wishes for their future success. Trophies were awarded to various houses that excelled in curricular and co-curricular activities. In the Junior Section, the Champion House of the Year award went to Blue House, headed by Ms. Sharon Metilda. In the Boys’ Section, Yellow House, headed by Ms. Shanooja, won the overall championship, while in the Girls’ Section, Green House, led by Ms. Nafisha Sultana, was declared the Champion House. These houses received championship trophies from the Principal. The heads of the Junior, Boys’, and Girls’ sections, along with house coordinators, housemistresses, housemasters and heads of departments, attended the function.

IIS KINDERGARTEN CELEBRATED SHAPES DAY

The KG section of IIS marked Shapes Day on recently. Kids donned various shape-themed costumes like pizza, watermelon, bottle, clock, scale, TV, and more, each carrying a card displaying different shapes. KG II pupils crafted headbands featuring assorted shapes as part of the festivities. The children’s enthusiasm was evident in their spirited participation in both dressing up and engaging in the activities.

IIS INTRODUCES ACTIVITY UNIFORM

Ideal Indian School recently introduced a new Activity Uniform for students from Grade 1 to Grade 12 aiming to provide comfort, flexibility, and functionality during various physical activities and special events. The new Activity Uniform was officially introduced on the No Bag Day Activity Day, where students had the opportunity to wear it for the first time. During the No Bag Day, students engaged in a variety of activities, including games, and exercises, all while wearing the new Activity Uniform. IIS OBSERVES EARTH DAY

Ideal Indian School observed Earth Day with a number of activities. The theme of Earth Day 2024 is ‘PLANET VS PLASTIC’, aiming to highlight the growing concerns about the loss of biodiversity and depletion of the quality of the environment. In the Junior Section, several child-centered activities were conducted to create awareness about the conservation of natural resources. A special assembly was conducted which included speeches, display of placards, and a rendition of an Earth Day song. The students also actively took part in a cleaning program at the school thereby gaining a proper understanding of waste disposal. Students also showed their love and care for Mother Earth by participating in poster-making, coloring activities, and making badges with thoughtful Earth Day slogans. The highlight of the day was an exhibition where students showcased their artistic and creative skills. The Principal, Mr. Sheikh Shamim Saheb, emphasised the importance of conserving water and electricity, as well as reducing plastic usage. Headmaster Mr. Sajid Shamim and Section Coordinator Ms. Jaseena Abdulla joined the celebration and applauded the participants and teachers for their work, emphasizing the importance of the day. Finally, the students took a pledge to preserve and conserve their self-sustaining planet. IIS HOLDS TEACHERS’ REFRESHER PROGRAMME

Ideal Indian School organized a two-day Teachers Refresher Programme in line with the school’s commitment to keeping the teaching faculty abreast of the latest teaching trends, enhancing their knowledge and teaching methodology, and fostering a better understanding of their students. The inaugural day of the programme commenced with a workshop led by Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb on the topic ‘Collaboration and Teamwork for Better Workplace Performance’. He emphasized the importance of cultivating a collaborative environment within the educational setting, highlighting its profound impact on overall institutional efficiency.
