IIS Boys Section Awarded Best Classroom to the classes selected from classes 5 to 8. Judgment was based on criteria such as the information provided on the bulletin board, the presentation of the same, cleanliness, and the maintenance of the whiteboard. Among the classes from grades 5 to 8, 7A was declared the winner. The class teacher of 7A, Ms. Mahalakshmi, along with the mentors – Hadi, Muzakkir, Rashdan, and Aahil – received the trophy from the Vice Principal Mr. Azam Khan.

IIS CELEBRATES MOTHERS’ DAY

Students of Ideal Indian School joined the world in celebrating Mothers’ Day to honour and thank mothers all over the world for their sacrifice, compassion, care and everything else that they stand for. Students in all sections enthusiastically participated in various activities to express their love, respect, honor, and gratitude towards their mothers. Teachers emphasised the importance of the mother’s role in a family and advised them to be always thankful to their mothers.

IIS HONOURS MERITORIOUS STUDENTS

Ideal Indian School felicitated meritorious students who made it to the Principal’s Honors List by securing higher grades in the school’s final examinations during the academic year 2023-24. A special assembly was organized in the school recently to honor nearly 600 meritorious students from the Junior, Boys’, and Girls’ Sections. Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb awarded medals and certificates to the students. On this occasion, the Principal extended congratulations to the students, applauding their hard work and perseverance, and offered wishes for their future success. Trophies were awarded to various houses that excelled in curricular and co-curricular activities. In the Junior Section, the Champion House of the Year award went to Blue House, headed by Ms. Sharon Metilda. In the Boys’ Section, Yellow House, headed by Ms. Shanooja, won the overall championship, while in the Girls’ Section, Green House, led by Ms. Nafisha Sultana, was declared the Champion House. These houses received championship trophies from the Principal. The heads of the Junior, Boys’, and Girls’ sections, along with house coordinators, housemistresses, housemasters and heads of departments, attended the function.

IIS KINDERGARTEN CELEBRATED SHAPES DAY

The KG section of IIS marked Shapes Day on recently. Kids donned various shape-themed costumes like pizza, watermelon, bottle, clock, scale, TV, and more, each carrying a card displaying different shapes. KG II pupils crafted headbands featuring assorted shapes as part of the festivities. The children’s enthusiasm was evident in their spirited participation in both dressing up and engaging in the activities.

IIS CELEBRATED GARANGAO WITH TRADITION AND CULTURAL RICHNESS

Garangao is a traditional festival celebrated by the Gulf countries, particularly Qatar, on the 14th night of the holy month of Ramadan. This festival holds great significance, especially for children. The Junior Section of Ideal Indian School recently celebrated Garangao traditionally. The children dressed in colorful traditional attire and carried baskets and bags decorated with bright colors and patterns. The programme started with a prayer by Master Abdul Rahman of class 4C, and a special speech was delivered by Ms. Hamda Musthafa of class 4G. The programme was hosted by Ms. Tanu Madhvi. A group song was performed by the Junior Section choir. Headmaster Mr. Sajid Shamim and Ms. Jessena Abdulla, the Section Coordinator, joined the celebration and emphasised the value of the Garangao celebration. One of the mesmerising aspects of the event was that the students of the Junior Section made their way around the entire school in procession with Garangao music playing. The principal, Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, the headmaster, Mr. Sajid Shamim, and other Heads of Sections distributed nuts and candies to the children. The festival of Garangao serves as a reminder of cultural richness and diversity and adds joy and vibrancy to the Ramadan celebration.

IIS HOLDS TEACHERS’ REFRESHER PROGRAMME

Ideal Indian School organized a two-day Teachers Refresher Programme in line with the school’s commitment to keeping the teaching faculty abreast of the latest teaching trends, enhancing their knowledge and teaching methodology, and fostering a better understanding of their students. The inaugural day of the programme commenced with a workshop led by Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb on the topic ‘Collaboration and Teamwork for Better Workplace Performance’. He emphasized the importance of cultivating a collaborative environment within the educational setting, highlighting its profound impact on overall institutional efficiency. The second session of the first day featured a presentation by Mr. Sajid Shamim, Headmaster of the Junior Section, on “Code of Ethics and Conduct – The MoE guidelines for the School and its stakeholders in the State of Qatar”. On the second day, various sections and departments conducted meetings and workshops in preparation for the upcoming academic year. IIS CELEBRATED INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

Ideal Indian School celebrated International Women’s Day with a lot of festivities, dedicating the day to all the strong women in the world especially the women members of the IIS family. Mr. Shaikh Shamim Sahib, the Principal and all the Heads of the Section graced the occasion with their presence.Women’s Day celebration began with a thoughtful prayer service by Ms. Zohra. The gathering was extended a gracious welcome with a Welcome Speech by Ms. Rajula Sadath. Mr. Shaikh Shamim Sahib, Principal was welcomed with a bouquet of flowers as a token of gratitude and love. All the lady Heads of the Section were welcomed with a colourful blossom as a gesture of appreciation for their leadership, dedication and invaluable contributions to the school.On this special occasion, the Principal talked about the necessity of the equality of women in today’s world. He motivated all women to take up challenges and embrace equality in all areas of life. The Overall Coordinator of the day was Ms. Khatija T.C., Headmistress of Girls’ Section. A colourful display of Group Dance, Skit, Group Songs, Solo Song, Solo Dance and a Fashion Show were presented by the teachers of all sections. Teachers were selected and crowned in various titles, such as the ‘Best Attire’ awarded to Ms. Soubhagya, the ‘Best Jewellery’ to Ms. Padmaja, the ‘Best Hijab’ to Ms. Saba Harris, and the ‘Queen of the Day’ title bestowed upon Ms. Rasitha.Exciting and fun-filled games were organized for the lady teachers during the occasion, and prizes were awarded to the winners. The heads of all sections and the teaching and non-teaching faculty witnessed the program. Ms. Sharon proposed the vote of thanks. The entire program of the day was compered by Ms. Soumya and Ms. Masarath. IIS Junior Section Bids Farewell to Grade 4 Students

Ideal Indian School’s Junior Section bid farewell to its Grade 4 students on March 3, 2024, at the APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium. This transition from class 4 to 5 and the move to the Boys and Girls section marks a significant milestone in the educational journey of these students, symbolizing the beginning of a new chapter filled with opportunities for growth, learning, and self-discovery. Ms. Sheela Ramesh and Ms. Jaseena welcomed the Grade 4 students to the venue. The event started with a prayer by Master Abdul Rahman. Ms. Tanu Madhvi and Ms. Jayasri Suresh hosted the program along with the Grade 3 students. Principal, Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, graced the occasion with his presence and extended his wishes to the students. The heads of other sections and departments attended the program. Mr. Sajid Shamim, the Headmaster, addressed the students. Memorable gifts were presented to all the Grade 4 students as a symbolic representation of love. IIS EXCELS AT SCHOOLS OLYMPICS PROGRAMME ATHLETICS FINALS

Ideal Indian School athletics team participated in the Schools Olympics Programme Athletics Finals which was held from February 25 to 27, 2024, at Al Arabi Stadium. IIS team students showcased remarkable athletic prowess, bringing home a total of six medals. The highlight of the event was Ihsan Ismail from Class 11 A, who not only clinched the gold medal in the 60m sprint but also demonstrated his versatility by securing a bronze medal in the 200m race. The collective strength of Ideal Indian School’s relay team shone through in the 4x100m relay event. The team, consisting of Ihsan Ismail of class 11 A, Mohammed Ihsan of class 11A, Ashish Rejy of class 11 C, and Ammar Obaid of Class 11 C, demonstrated exceptional teamwork and speed, earning the school a well-deserved bronze medal in the relay category. Ihsan Ismail’s achievements underscored his dedication and skill, contributing significantly to the school’s overall success.
