IIS INAUGURATES MATHS CLUB

The Department of Mathematics inaugurated the Maths club on 22 May 2024. The event marked a significant milestone in the school’s commitment to fostering a love for mathematics and providing students with opportunities to explore the subject beyond the classroom. The students from various grades displayed their innovative projects and models, ranging from geometric constructions and algebraic puzzles to statistical analysis and real-life applications of calculus. Several students presented interesting mathematical projects and models they had worked on. Their presentations showcased their creativity and the practical applications of mathematical concepts. The Chief Guest, Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, Principal of Ideal Indian School, inaugurated the event by cutting the ribbon. He was accompanied by the Heads of Sections of the Boys, Girls, Junior, and KG sections. A special moment of the event was the unveiling of the Maths Club logo by the Principal, Heads of all sections, and the Mathematics Head of the Department. It features a blend of geometric shapes and mathematical symbols, representing the diverse fields within mathematics. The office bearers of the club were inducted on the occasion. Luqman Ameen from Class XII B was appointed as President of Boys’ Section Iffat Fatimah of Class XII F as the President of Girls’ Section, followed by Jagreet Singh Sidhu from Class XII A as the Secretary from the Boys’ section, and Aqsa Ameer of Class XII E as the Secretary from the Girls’ section. In an inspiring speech, Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb expressed the importance of Maths in our daily lives. He also spoke about the numerous career opportunities available for those passionate about mathematics and encouraged students to pursue their interests with dedication and enthusiasm. He congratulated the students and teachers who worked tirelessly to bring this club to life. The teachers and students of all classes visited the exhibition. More than 180 models were exhibited. Many projects showcased collaborative efforts, emphasizing teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration. Numerous projects demonstrated a strong connection to real-world applications. The event was hosted by Dafydd and Riti Doshi of Class 12. Bhavith Babu welcomed the gathering and Ayesha Reem proposed the vote of thanks. Head boy Gouri Shankar enlightened the objectives and importance of the Club.

IIS HOLDS PTA MEETING

Ideal Indian School conducted its Parent Teacher Association Meet for the current academic year recently. In his opening remarks, Principal Shaik Shamim Saheb emphasised the school’s vision and mission, and how the PTA will support these goals. He explained that the meeting aims to strengthen communication and collaboration between parents and teachers. This will allow for open discussion about your children’s academic progress and overall well-being. Ms. Dhanya Priya, President of the PTA, assured attendees that the committee would maintain consistent communication and collaboration with the school administration. Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb presented the Annual Report for the Academic Year 2023-24 and engaged in a productive interaction session with parents, addressing their concerns comprehensively. Ms. Safeera, Teacher, Boys‘ Section welcomed the gathering and Ms. Shanooja, Teacher, Boys’ Section proposed the vote of thanks. IIS STUDENTS EXCEL IN SCHOOL OLYMPIC PROGRAMME

Ideal Indian School excelled in the recently held SOP 17th Edition finals. Schools’ Taekwondo boys and girls teams, primary level-1 gymnastic team and athletic teams participated and brought laurels to the school by winning medals in different competitions. The School Taekwondo team won 1 gold, 5 silver and 14 bronze medals. Miss. Hina Jaswan of 3 H won the gold medal representing the Primary Level-1 category, Silver medal winners are: AIZEN ABDULLA 3A, ⁠RISHIKESH 7 C, MUHAMMED IFFAN 6 E, MOHAMMED MISHAL 10 D AND DIYA FATHIMA ( 9-K) Bronze Medal Winner: ANAYA MERZAN CHHOI 3H, MUHAB MUSTHAFA MOOSA 6 B, HASHIM PARIYARATHU 7 B, MUHAMMED MUZAMMIL MUNEER 7 C, AHAMMED HAYAN SAKEER 9 A, ⁠RAYHAN SIDHIQUE 9 B, DANIEL KOLENCHERY SELISH 9 C, RABIYA NAYEEM ( 7-F), NASREEN NOUSHAD ( 7-G), ALAA ALHADI ( 7-H), FATHIMA SHAZA( 8-K), CRISTIANA ZERAH (8-J) AND RUQAYA ALTAF ( 9-J). The team was trained and accompanied by Martial Arts coach Mr. Amazad Khan, Girls Physical Education Teacher Ms. Suman Panwar, and sports enthusiast from the Junior Section Ms. Sharon Metilda Soans (English Teacher) The brilliant 3 medals win of Master Ihsan Ismail, 12 A made the school athletic team win 1 gold, 1 individual bronze and 1 team bronze medal respectively in the 60m dash, 200m dash and 4x100m relay competitions. Relay team members are: Ihsan Ismail of 12 A, Muhammed Ihsan 12 A, Ashish Papachan Rejy 12 C, and Ammar Obaid Qazi 12 C. The team was trained by School Athletic Coach, Mr. Pramod Ravi. School Primary Level-1 Artistic Gymnastics Team bagged two medals for the first time in the history of Ideal Indian School SOP competitions. In individual competitions, Master Sayed Muhammed Munafar, 4A won bronze medals and Ideal won bronze medal in team competitions as well. Team members are: Sayed Muhammed Munafar- 5A, ⁠Ahmad Sinan-5B, ⁠Mohammad Nauman- 5A, Ahyad Nalloor, 4 B. The Team was trained by the Junior Section Physical Education Teacher, Mr. Raheem.

IIS GIRLS SECTION HOLDS ASSEMBLY

A special morning assembly was recently conducted for the students of the girls’ section, providing a platform for them to come together in a spirit of unity and inspiration. The assembly was meticulously organized, engaging in various activities and messages aimed at holistic development and motivation. Afrin Salma (XI-F) led the proceedings of the assembly with grace and enthusiasm, ensuring smooth transitions between segments and keeping the audience engaged throughout. Farha Naz (VIII J) commenced the assembly with a soulful prayer, invoking the blessings of the Almighty. Meghna Viju (XI-F) shared the thought for the day. Samriddhi Panwar (VIII-L) delivered the latest news updates, keeping everyone informed and aware of current events and developments. Deann Menezes (XI F) delivered a compelling speech on the value of the week, inspiring students to embody and uphold the core values promoted by the school. The Principal, Mr. Shaikh Shamim Saheb, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of academic excellence, character development, and participation in extracurricular activities for overall growth and success. The Vice Principal, Dr. Nazima Bi, and Headmistress, Ms. Khatija T C of the Girls’ Section, shared words of motivation, instilling confidence and determination in the students to pursue their goals. Ms. Suman Panwar coordinated a session of freehand exercises with students from classes XI and XII, promoting physical fitness and well-being among the students. The assembly concluded with the school anthem performed by the School Choir, fostering a sense of pride and unity among all present.

IIS Boys Section Awards Best Class Room

IIS Boys Section Awarded Best Classroom to the classes selected from classes 5 to 8. Judgment was based on criteria such as the information provided on the bulletin board, the presentation of the same, cleanliness, and the maintenance of the whiteboard. Among the classes from grades 5 to 8, 7A was declared the winner. The class teacher of 7A, Ms. Mahalakshmi, along with the mentors – Hadi, Muzakkir, Rashdan, and Aahil – received the trophy from the Vice Principal Mr. Azam Khan.

IIS CELEBRATES MOTHERS’ DAY

Students of Ideal Indian School joined the world in celebrating Mothers’ Day to honour and thank mothers all over the world for their sacrifice, compassion, care and everything else that they stand for. Students in all sections enthusiastically participated in various activities to express their love, respect, honor, and gratitude towards their mothers. Teachers emphasised the importance of the mother’s role in a family and advised them to be always thankful to their mothers.

IIS HONOURS MERITORIOUS STUDENTS

Ideal Indian School felicitated meritorious students who made it to the Principal’s Honors List by securing higher grades in the school’s final examinations during the academic year 2023-24. A special assembly was organized in the school recently to honor nearly 600 meritorious students from the Junior, Boys’, and Girls’ Sections. Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb awarded medals and certificates to the students. On this occasion, the Principal extended congratulations to the students, applauding their hard work and perseverance, and offered wishes for their future success. Trophies were awarded to various houses that excelled in curricular and co-curricular activities. In the Junior Section, the Champion House of the Year award went to Blue House, headed by Ms. Sharon Metilda. In the Boys’ Section, Yellow House, headed by Ms. Shanooja, won the overall championship, while in the Girls’ Section, Green House, led by Ms. Nafisha Sultana, was declared the Champion House. These houses received championship trophies from the Principal. The heads of the Junior, Boys’, and Girls’ sections, along with house coordinators, housemistresses, housemasters and heads of departments, attended the function.

IIS KINDERGARTEN CELEBRATED SHAPES DAY

The KG section of IIS marked Shapes Day on recently. Kids donned various shape-themed costumes like pizza, watermelon, bottle, clock, scale, TV, and more, each carrying a card displaying different shapes. KG II pupils crafted headbands featuring assorted shapes as part of the festivities. The children’s enthusiasm was evident in their spirited participation in both dressing up and engaging in the activities.

IIS CELEBRATED GARANGAO WITH TRADITION AND CULTURAL RICHNESS

Garangao is a traditional festival celebrated by the Gulf countries, particularly Qatar, on the 14th night of the holy month of Ramadan. This festival holds great significance, especially for children. The Junior Section of Ideal Indian School recently celebrated Garangao traditionally. The children dressed in colorful traditional attire and carried baskets and bags decorated with bright colors and patterns. The programme started with a prayer by Master Abdul Rahman of class 4C, and a special speech was delivered by Ms. Hamda Musthafa of class 4G. The programme was hosted by Ms. Tanu Madhvi. A group song was performed by the Junior Section choir. Headmaster Mr. Sajid Shamim and Ms. Jessena Abdulla, the Section Coordinator, joined the celebration and emphasised the value of the Garangao celebration. One of the mesmerising aspects of the event was that the students of the Junior Section made their way around the entire school in procession with Garangao music playing. The principal, Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, the headmaster, Mr. Sajid Shamim, and other Heads of Sections distributed nuts and candies to the children. The festival of Garangao serves as a reminder of cultural richness and diversity and adds joy and vibrancy to the Ramadan celebration.

IIS HOLDS TEACHERS’ REFRESHER PROGRAMME

Ideal Indian School organized a two-day Teachers Refresher Programme in line with the school’s commitment to keeping the teaching faculty abreast of the latest teaching trends, enhancing their knowledge and teaching methodology, and fostering a better understanding of their students. The inaugural day of the programme commenced with a workshop led by Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb on the topic ‘Collaboration and Teamwork for Better Workplace Performance’. He emphasized the importance of cultivating a collaborative environment within the educational setting, highlighting its profound impact on overall institutional efficiency. The second session of the first day featured a presentation by Mr. Sajid Shamim, Headmaster of the Junior Section, on “Code of Ethics and Conduct – The MoE guidelines for the School and its stakeholders in the State of Qatar”. On the second day, various sections and departments conducted meetings and workshops in preparation for the upcoming academic year.
