Ideal Indian School recently hosted the 9th Annual Inter-School Uswa-e-Rasool Elocution and Recitation Competition with profound reverence and solemnity. The competition featured two topics for the Elocution segment: Juniors: Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as a Role Model for Our Daily Life Seniors: Justice and Equality in the Life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) In the senior category, Khalid Soban (XII-A) from Ideal Indian School secured first position in the Qur’an Recitation competition, while in the junior category, Mohamed Shaban Naji Eid (VII-D) achieved second position in Qur’an Recitation. In the Elocution competition, Fatima Khairi (XII-G) won second position in the senior category, and Farah Naaz (IX-I) earned first position in the junior category. Among the ten participating schools, Ideal Indian School clinched the Overall Championship Trophy in Elocution, marking a proud moment and a crowning achievement for the institution. The event’s Convener, Mr. Azam Khan (VP-BS), conveyed the message of the Principal, Mr. Shaikh Shamim Saheb, who extended his heartfelt congratulations to the winners, participants, and teachers from all participating schools. Mr. Azam Khan also expressed his sincere appreciation to Dr. Ehtesham, Head of the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies, and his dedicated team for their exceptional efforts and success. He further acknowledged the support of all Heads of Sections for their cooperation and encouragement. The Elocution competition was judged by distinguished personalities: Mr. Mueen – Executive Director and author of numerous research publications Mr. Sheikh Alqama Rajpura – Imam and Khateeb, Ministry of Awqaf, Qatar Ms. Noryn Shaukat Ali – Educationist and Goodwill Ambassador, Al-Qalam Academy The Qur’an Recitation competition was evaluated by: Shaikh Tahir Ibraheem Ali Al-Ahdal – Imam & Khateeb, Ministry of Awqaf Qari Abdul Aziz – Imam & Khateeb Qari Mohammad Siddique – Imam & Khateeb During the closing ceremony, the Chief Guest, Mr. Mueen, and the Guest of Honour, Ms. Noryn Shaukat Ali, delivered inspiring messages on the true spirit of Islam and commended the students and the Arabic Department for their unwavering dedication and hard work.
IIS OBSERVED GANDHI JAYANTI
Students of Ideal Indian School actively participated in the global celebration of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary, honoring the Father of Independent India. The day, which also marks the International Day of Peace and Non-Violence, featured a variety of activities across all sections of the school in both the morning and evening sessions, highlighting and reinforcing Gandhiji’s timeless message of peace and nonviolence. In the Junior Section, a special assembly for Class 4 highlighted the importance of peace in daily life and the power of small acts of kindness. Grade 3 students carried placards promoting truth, non-violence, and universal brotherhood, reinforcing that peace begins with individuals and spreads to the world. Students from Grades V to VIII actively participated in a variety of creative and thought-provoking activities promoting his values of truth, non-violence, peace, and social responsibility. The celebration began with a tableau presentation on the themes ‘Dandi March’ and ‘Non-Cooperation Movement’, followed by a peaceful procession. The students were selected through an invitation given in the class group. The selection has been made based on interest and performance in the previous activities. Students enthusiastically portrayed key moments from India’s freedom struggle and walked through the school holding placards and chanting slogans promoting Gandhiji’s ideals. To creatively express Gandhian principles, students of Grade V worked in groups to produce collages on the theme “Three Wise Monkeys”, symbolizing the values of seeing, hearing, and speaking no evil. The spirit of cleanliness was brought to life by Grade VI through an individual drawing activity based on “Swachh Bharat”, reflecting Gandhiji’s emphasis on hygiene and public responsibility. Quotes and values of Mahatma Gandhi were beautifully presented by Grade VII students through a calligraphy activity, blending artistic writing with inspirational messages. Grade VIII students demonstrated their understanding of Gandhian philosophy by creating PowerPoint presentations on any three Gandhian values or quotes, linking historical ideals to modern-day relevance. The event was organized by the Department of Social Science, with teachers in charge ensuring smooth coordination and active participation.
IIS Celebrated Grandparents Day
Grandparents are the treasured pillars of wisdom, tradition and love within a family. Their care and guidance strengthen the foundation of family bonds. To honor their invaluable role, Ideal Indian School recently celebrated Grandparents Day. In the morning session Ms. Shirley De Sales, Headmistress of the KG Section, warmly welcomed the parents and highlighted the profound impact grandparents have on shaping lives. The kindergarten students delighted the audience with a captivating song, setting the tone for a memorable event. The teachers of the KG section also presented a song on the occasion. The programme was compered by Ms. Victoria Paul and Ms. Sana Choudhury proposed vote of thanks. In the evening session, the programme began with a warm welcome as grandchildren presented bouquets to their grandparents, followed by a prayer led by Mrs. Jasna. The welcome address was delivered by the Section In-charge, Ms. Christina Sylvia, after which a touching video of grandparents with their grandchildren was shown, and Ms. Malini and Ms. Shabna presented a melodious song. The programme was smoothly compered by Ms. Ruth Mennie and concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Ms. Nuzhath Banu. Grandparents actively participated in various fun-filled activities such as singing and games and the winners received prizes. Each grandparent was gifted a handmade greeting card created by the students, a heartfelt token of love and appreciation. The grandparents expressed their gratitude to Ideal Indian School for nurturing the bond between generations through such meaningful events. Students of the KG section engaged in making greeting cards by hand-printing on worksheets for their grandparents, making the day even more special.
IIS MARKS WORLD HEART DAY
The Department of Science organized a special program to mark World Heart Day. The theme of the event was “Safety and Children,” focusing on raising awareness among students about the importance of heart health and preventive measures. The program was attended by Class IX students, teachers, and school dignitaries. The event commenced with a solemn prayer led by Mohammed Obaid of Class XI, followed by a warm welcome address delivered by Fenin Shavaera of Class XI, who greeted the gathering and set the tone for the day’s proceedings. The session was conducted by Dr. Mohit Kaul, Associate Specialist in Emergency Medicine at Aster Hospital. Dr. Kaul delivered an interactive and insightful talk on child safety and first aid, covering practical steps for handling emergencies such as fractures, splint application, animal bites, nosebleeds, and burns. His presentation was both informative and engaging, equipping students with essential knowledge to respond effectively during emergencies. Dr. Kaul’s message encouraged students to take charge of their own health and raise awareness within their families and communities. The session emphasized the importance of being prepared to face emergencies with confidence and responsibility. The Vice Principal of the Boys’ Section, Mr. Azam Khan, and the Vice Principal of the Girls’ Section, Dr. Nazima Bi Shaikh, presented a memento and bouquet to the Guest of Honour, Dr. Mohit Kaul, as a token of appreciation. The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by the Eco Club Girls’ Section President, Sanam of Class XI. The event was coordinated under the guidance of the Department of Science, with the support of the Head of Department (Science), Mr. Riyas. The celebration not only honoured World Heart Day but also empowered students with life-saving skills, leaving them more aware, responsible, and prepared to face emergencies.
IIS Student Shines at the Asian Handball Championship
Ideal Indian School is thrilled to celebrate the remarkable achievement of Master Sahal Faisal, a student of Class XII-C, who represented the Qatar National Handball Team at the 1st Asian Men’s U-17 Handball Championship 2025 in Amman, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. With outstanding performances throughout the tournament, Sahal helped lead the Qatar National Team to the semifinals with impressive victories against China (38–34), Saudi Arabia (27–23), Jordan (32–25), and Kuwait (26–22). His dedication and skill were key to the team’s success, contributing significantly to their overall performance. As a result of this historic accomplishment, Sahal has earned a spot to represent Qatar in the U-17 Handball World Cup, set to take place in Morocco in October 2025. This achievement is a proud moment for his family, school, and the entire student community at Ideal Indian School. The Principal, Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, along with the Heads of Sections and the Department of Physical Education, extends their heartfelt congratulations to Sahal for bringing pride to the school and the nation. TEDx Ideal Indian School Youth Launched
Unveiling the theme Kaleidoscope – The Beauty of Merging Perspectives, inspiring young minds to innovate and share. The TEDx Ideal Indian School Youth was inaugurated recently at the KG Auditorium under the leadership of Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb , Principal Ideal Indian school . The event introduced this year’s theme, “Kaleidoscope – The Beauty of Merging Perspectives”, symbolizing creativity, diversity, and unity of ideas. The program, attended by Grade 11 students, the Principal, and Heads of Sections, featured inspiring speeches, the unveiling of the TEDx board, and the introduction of the core committee. The Principal’s address highlighted the importance of innovation and student-led initiatives. The inauguration was a resounding success, sparking enthusiasm among students to participate in the upcoming TEDx activities. With this launch, Ideal Indian School takes another step in empowering young voices and nurturing ideas worth spreading.
