IIS ORGANISED INDUSTRIAL VISIT FOR THE STUDENTS

In line with our school’s commitment to practical learning, IIS organized an industrial visit to the Seashore Group at Al Khor Industrial Area for the students of Engineering Graphics. The students visited the Facilities- Mechanical, Galvanizing and Painting division of Seashore Engineering which provided an exceptional opportunity for students to observe firsthand manufacturing procedures in the real world and acquire valuable practical insights into the industry. The trip proved immensely advantageous for the students, enhancing their understanding and knowledge of the industrial sector while allowing them to explore a wide range of industrial processes. The officials of the Seashore group briefed the students about the overall operations of the Seashore Engineering Division, highlighting its role in the manufacturing sector and its contribution to the industry. They emphasized the importance of precision engineering, quality control, and adherence to safety standards in their daily operations. At the conclusion of the industrial visit, the students expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Seashore Group for generously providing them with such a valuable opportunity to explore their facilities.

EXPLORING THE NIGHT SKY: Member of the Astronomy Club of Ideal Indian School organized a visit to a private space observatory in Al Wakrah, Doha. The purpose of the trip was to give students an opportunity to observe the celestial objects.Mr. Ajith Everester, a renowned Astrophotographer, established the space observatory. During the visit, he provided a clear explanation of how telescopes work and the different types used for observing celestial objects. He also shared insights into the fascinating world of astrophotography. Guiding the students through the night sky using lasers, Mr. Ajith took them on an engaging tour, pointing out stars and constellations. Equipped with modern telescopes, the students had the incredible opportunity to observe the planet Venus, the pole star, and the moon in close detail. Ideal Indian School organized an engaging read-a-thon week aimed at promoting the habit of reading among students. Adding to the excitement, IIS collaborated with the renowned Crescent Book Store to organize a book fair during the read-a-thon week. The book fair served as a vibrant hub of literary enthusiasm, where students had the opportunity to explore a vast selection of books. Inaugurating the read-a-thon week, Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb underscored the importance of nurturing a reading culture among students. The principal emphasized that reading not only enhances knowledge and expands vocabulary but also fosters critical thinking, imagination, and empathy. The students enthusiastically engaged in a variety of activities, such as processions, flash mobs, and street plays, with the aim of fostering a reading culture.
