IIS COMMERCE DEPT. UNVEILED TRADE CRAFTERS CLUB EXHIBITION

The Department of Commerce launched the ‘TRADE CRAFTERS CLUB’ with an exhibition held recently at Ideal Indian School.  Mr. Sheikh Shamim Saheb, the Principal of IIS, graced the occasion as the chief guest and inaugurated the club and the exhibition by ribbon cutting accompanied by his team of Heads of sections from Boys, Girls, Junior, and Kindergarten. Ananditha Devi of Commerce and Master Gouri Shankar from Engineering and Graphics welcomed the gathering. In his keynote address, the principal shared words of wisdom, emphasizing achievements and how to become realistic heroes in the field of commerce through dedication and commitment. The exhibition drew students from classes 10, 11, and 12, showcasing a variety of creative, innovative, and upcoming commerce projects. Students exhibited their talents and mastery through special projects, including Travel agencies using AI, Line management of Saudi Arabia, Cryptocurrencies, a Dictionary of business, Smart city development, vending machines, Working models of ATMs, GST, etc. All models and project presentations were collaborative efforts by students of 11 and 12 commerce. The Intellectual Game organized by them raised awareness of commerce among visitors, attracting many. The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Master Eyad. Overall, the exhibition, orchestrated by the Trade Crafters Club through the Department of Commerce, was an immense success, promoting the importance of commerce both academically and professionally.

ISIT BY SCOUTS & GUIDES DELEGATES IN NEW RECRUITER TRAINING PROGRAMME

Newly recruited Scouts and Guides from Ideal Indian School actively participated in the ‘Basic Training Program’ meticulously organized by the school. This event coincided with the visit of esteemed delegates from the ‘Qatar Scouts & Guides Association.’On this occasion, Mr. Ahmed Khamis B Al-Yousef (Scout Activities Consultant), Ms. Muna Jumah Al-Mansouri (1st Scout Activities Expert), and Ms. Paramjeet Bhullar (Scouts & Guides Coordinator for Expatriate Schools) paid a visit to Ideal Indian School. The program commenced with a dignified ‘Guard of Honour’ extended to the Scouts & Guides dignitaries and the school’s Principal, Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb.The ceremony gained momentum as Head Scout Bhavith Babu ceremoniously raised the Qatar National Flag, accompanied by the inspiring strains of the ‘Qatar National Anthem.’ The formal proceedings began with a prayer by Scout Mishal Mustafa. Guide Akshaya Jayaprakash extended a warm welcome to the guests, the Principal, and all the attending Scouts & Guides. The formal function was hosted by Guide Riti Milan Doshi, who also provided a comprehensive overview of the training program.Further enriching the event, Guide Venika Anil delivered an insightful presentation on the Scouting Movement, covering its history, principles, laws, promises, values, and motto. To conclude the program, Head Scout Bhavith Babu extended a gracious vote of thanks.The training sessions for the new recruits were thoughtfully divided into five distinct stations. At each station, Scouts and Guides received training in a range of vital life skills activities, including Types of Knots and their practical applications, Scout Uniforms and scarves, Camp Setup, Campfire skills, and First Aid.Following the training session, the Scouts & Guides delegates convened for a meeting with the school Principal and the Scouts & Guides Leaders. During this meeting, they shared highly positive feedback and expressed deep appreciation for the school’s dedicated efforts in organizing such an effective training program for Scouts & Guides. Additionally, they actively planned for forthcoming Scouts & Guides events. A total of 64 newly recruited Scouts & Guides, along with their senior counterparts, attended this enriching training program. The coordination of the Training Program was skillfully overseen by Mr. Vijayant Thapa (Scout Master) and Ms. Suman Panwar (Guides Leader) from Ideal Indian School.

Ideal Eco Club’s Seed and Sapling Planting Initiative

The Eco Club at Ideal Indian School is committed to promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices. In line with our mission, we organized a seed and sapling planting initiative with the aim of contributing to a greener and healthier environment. The primary objective of this seed planting event was to increase awareness among students about the importance of planting trees in combating climate change and promoting biodiversity. The event took place in both the Girls’ and Boys’ sections. Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb inaugurated the event by planting the seeds. Teachers provided a brief demonstration on the correct way to plant seeds/saplings, emphasizing the importance of soil quality and the appropriate depth for planting. All participants, including students, teachers, and volunteers, actively engaged in planting the trees. Each participant took part in the process, from digging the holes to placing the seeds and saplings in the pots and watering them.

IIS TAEKWONDO TEAMS SECURE OVERALL CHAMPIONSHIP IN CBSE CLUSTERS

In the recently concluded CBSE Clusters Taekwondo Championship, Ideal Indian School secured the overall championship title in both the Boys and Girls Categories. The CBSE Qatar Cluster Taekwondo Championship was an outstanding success, orchestrated with precision by Ideal Indian School. This event witnessed enthusiastic participation from various CBSE schools in Qatar, transforming it into a grand spectacle. Ideal School emerged as the undisputed overall champions in both the Boys and Girls categories. The competition featured six thrilling categories, and the Ideal Indian School team displayed their dominance by clinching the championship in all of them. The remarkable performance of the team can be attributed to the diligent training and preparation provided by the school’s Martial Arts Trainer, Mr. Amazad Khan, and the Physical Education teacher, Ms. Suman Panwar. In the Boys U-14 category, Ideal Indian School secured an impressive tally of 5 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze medal. Similarly, the Girls U-14 category witnessed their excellence with 4 gold, 1 silver, and 3 bronze medals. The Boys U-17 and Girls U-17 categories were equally impressive, amassing 7 gold and 3 bronze medals, and 5 gold, 4 silver, and 1 bronze medal, respectively. The Boys U-19 and Girls U-19 categories also displayed their prowess with 6 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze medal, and 6 gold and 2 silver medals, respectively. In total, Ideal Indian School accumulated an outstanding 186 points in the boys’ category and 165 points in the girls’ category, securing their position as champions. An impressive feat was achieved by thirty-three students from Ideal Indian School, who qualified for participation in the CBSE National Taekwondo Championship, scheduled to be held in India in November. Principal Shaik Shamim Saheb expressed his deep appreciation for the unwavering dedication and commitment of the Physical Education Department in training and preparing the students for the tournament. He also extended his hearty congratulations to the victorious students. The Heads of Sections, Mr. Ashok Kumar Tiwari for the Boys’ Section and Dr. Nazima Bi Shaikh for the Girls’ Section, offered their admiration and motivation to the winners, encouraging them to continue their excellent performance in future tournaments.

SPOTLIGHT-2023 CONCLUDED AT IIS

Ideal Indian School recently concluded ‘Spotlight 2023′ a week-long talent hunt program aimed at nurturing the artistic talents of its students. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of more than 2000 students in 27 different competitions, which encompassed areas such as Drawing, Literary Arts, and Performing Arts, with separate categories for boys and girls. Students from the Junior, Boys’, and Girls’ Sections were categorized into four groups: Kids, sub-junior, junior, intermediate, and senior. The competition featured a wide range of events, including Vocal and Instrumental Music, Dance, Painting, Rangoli, Mime Play, and Literary Competitions such as Poem Recitation, Storytelling, Elocution, and Extempore Speaking. Additionally, there was a special competition for Muslim students, including Tajweed, Hifz, and Azan, emphasizing the importance of religious education and promoting a deeper understanding. SEASONS DAY

The Kindergarten Section of Ideal Indian School celebrated Seasons-themed Day recently. KG 1 and KG 2 classes introduced and explained the four different seasons. Children participated by dressing up as various seasonal elements, such as snowmen, butterflies, flowers, the sun, and umbrellas, and a lively parade took place in the KG section. The classes conducted various activities. KG 1 students created colorful leaf prints to represent different seasons, using leaves, cotton, and bubble wrap on provided worksheets. They also crafted umbrellas using paper plates. KG 2 students engaged in a creative craft activity using paper plates and colored paper to make representations of the Snowman, Sun, Butterfly, and Paper Boats, each symbolizing different seasons. JOTA-JOTI EVENT

The Scouts and Guides of Ideal Indian School actively participated in the ‘JOTA-JOTI EVENT’ organized by the ‘World Scout Organization’ and represented by the ‘Global JOTA Management Team’ utilizing modern communication technology on Saturday, October 21, 2023. JOTA-JOTI is a youth program designed for young people in Scouting of all ages. The primary objective of JOTA-JOTI is to facilitate and encourage Scouts and Guides from around the world to communicate with each other through amateur radio and the internet, providing an enjoyable and educational Scouting experience. Five scouts and five guides from Ideal Indian School, specifically Bhavith Babu, Abubaker Tayyabuddin, Shiva Sunil, Ahmed Bushra, Rohit Cheriyan from the Boys section, and Akshaya Jayakhosh, Shreya Saravanan, Safa Shaikh, Rawan, and Riti Doshi from the Girls section, attended the event. CBSE QATAR CLUSTER HANDBALL TOURNAMENT

The Ideal Indian School Boys’ Under-19 Handball team participated in the CBSE Qatar Cluster Handball Tournament, consistently demonstrating outstanding performance and bringing pride to the school. The IIS Under-19 team secured Silver medal in the CBSE Qatar Cluster Handball Tournament, which was organized by Shantiniketan Indian School. The team’s members include Shahzad Hassan, Noushad Tharayan Kandathil (Captain), Sahal Faisal Abu Baker, Muhammad Ibrahim, Mujtaba Wadia, Bashir Yagoub Hamed, Abdur Rahman, Mohamed Elamin Mahagoub, Saad Abdul Rahman, Ahmad Mohamed Rafiq Kayum, Essam Mansoor, Dannie John Podimannil, Yamin Abdurahman, Muhammed Ashmin Kalliyath, and Ihsan Mohamed Shameer. The primary purpose of this celebration is to foster international and national solidarity in the fight against poverty, malnutrition, and hunger.
