IIS HOLDS CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME: Ideal Indian School, recently conducted a comprehensive Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Programme for its teaching fraternity, focusing on strengthening professional knowledge, classroom practices and student well-being.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Mohammad Sajid, with the theme “Knowledge and Practice”, and focused particularly on translating the QNSA recommendations into meaningful classroom practices. The CPD sessions for teachers of KG to Grade 12 included departmental planning, preparation of teaching-learning aids, and strategies for supporting high-achieving students through enrichment and additional learning opportunities.
A key session was led by Mr. Mohammad Azam Khan K., Acting Principal, IIS, who enlightened teachers on the recommendations of the QNSA Visiting Team and guided them on how these recommendations can be effectively translated into day-to-day classroom practices and measurable improvements in teaching and learning.The programme also placed strong emphasis on health, safety and emergency preparedness. UNIQ Qatar – United Nurses of India conducted a practical First Aid Awareness and Training Session for both groups of teachers. The resource team demonstrated essential emergency-response skills, including CPR for a colleague or student, as well as appropriate first-aid response in cases of choking caused by food particles.
The hands-on training helped teachers understand how to respond calmly and effectively during emergencies, strengthening the school’s commitment to providing a safe, caring and supportive learning environment.
