Speech and Handwriting Competition

The Junior Section at Ideal Indian School conducted a handwriting competition for the students of classes 1 and 2 and a speech competition for classes 3 and 4. The event was organized to nurture and showcase the communication and creative skills of our students, and both competitions witnessed enthusiastic participation. JUNIOR SECTION OF IIS HOLDS THE STAR OF IDEAL AWARD CEREMONY

The Star of Ideal for September, October, and November was given to the Junior Section students recently. The Star of Ideal Award has been instituted to foster qualities such as cooperation, cleanliness, uniformity, punctuality, and attitude. Its goal is to inspire others to take on the effort and enthusiasm of the awardees. The students received medals and certificates from Headmaster Mr. Sajid Shamim and Assistant Headmistress Ms. Shyla Jose. They wished the students success and encouraged them to continue being honest and disciplined.

IIS CELEBRATED 75th REPUBLIC DAY OF INDIA

The 75th Republic Day of India was celebrated at Ideal Indian School this morning with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb unfurled the national flag amidst the chanting of the national anthem by the School Choir. Heads of Sections, Heads of Departments, Teaching and non-teaching staff, Scouts and Guides, parents and students joined the celebrations. In his keynote address Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, urged students to uphold the values enshrined in the Constitution of the country. He stressed the importance of striving for a society where everyone is free, respected, and devoid of any fear of discrimination based on political or geographical boundaries. He also said that with a rich tapestry of diversity, traditions, and a robust democratic framework, India has earned widespread admiration globally. During their speeches, students reiterated their bond with their motherland. Najiya Zainudheen of class 8 delivered his speech in English, while Samadrita Sarkar also from class 8 expressed his thoughts in Hindi. The school choir captivated the audience with songs that stirred patriotic feelings. Boy Scouts and Girl Guides were honored with certificates and medals for their valuable services rendered on various occasions. The ceremony started with a prayer by Khuzaima Kazmi of class 9. Shreya Saravanan, Asst. Head Girl, extended a warm welcome to the gathering and Gouri Shanker, Asst. Head Boy, proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Sana Sayeed anchored the program. The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity and brotherhood, encapsulating the essence of the Republic Day festivities.

IIS BIDS FAREWELL TO OUTGOING STUDENTS

In a recently held spectacular ceremony, Ideal Indian School bid farewell to the outgoing students of class XII. The meticulous planning and execution of the event were led by the students of Class XI. The outgoing students recounted their days in the school and expressed their gratitude to the teachers for all the painstaking efforts in shaping their personalities. They also thanked their juniors wholeheartedly. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb extended best wishes to the outgoing students for their exams. He urged them to pursue their dreams with passion and resilience. On this occasion, the names of the students who are honoured with special awards for their outstanding performance in curricular and extracurricular activities were announced. KG FLOWERS DAY

Flowers Day was celebrated by the students of Kindergarten recently. The idea behind the concept was to expose them to the world of flowers. The tiny tots adorned themselves in various flower-themed costumes, embodying the spirit of sunflowers, lotuses, marigolds, roses, tulips, and more. Children wore dresses, accessories, and hats, which were innovatively decorated with flowers. They all looked stunning in their attire. The activity was not only refreshing, as the bright flowers, but also helped the students distinguish between different flowers and their colors.

IIS HONOURS STUDENTS FOR SPORTS EXCELLENCE

In a recently organised “Success Meet” Ideal Indian School felicitated students who excelled in the CBSE National Sports and Games Competitions held in India. President Dr. Hassan Kunhi M.P. presented mementos and certificates to the students. A large number of parents attended the function. Speaking on the occasion Dr. Hassan Kunhi M.P. emphasised the significance of sports in academic life. He also commended the dedication of the Physical Education teachers for their role in bringing accolades to the school. IIS RELEASES ANNUAL MAGAZINE

“Idealite 2023” the annual magazine of Ideal Indian School was released in a special ceremony held recently. “Idealite” is a multilingual magazine, which provides a platform to the budding artists and writers of the school to display their talent. Further, it also provides a panoramic view of the cultural, academic, sports, literary activities and achievements of the School.Dr. Hassan Kunhi M.P., the School President, graced the event as the Chief Guest. Mr. Amjad Vanimal, the Editor of Gulf Times and the Guest of Honour presented the first copy of the magazine to School President Dr. Hassan Kunhi M.P and Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb. In his keynote address, the School President affirmed the school’s commitment in nurturing students’ creative minds. Addressing the students, Mr. Amjad stressed the importance of cultivating a habit of reading, noting that it expands the mind and stimulates the imagination.Principal commended the efforts of the editorial board, teachers and students for bringing out such an outstanding magazine.Mr. Anwar Sadath, Head of the Department of English welcomed the guests and the gathering and Ms. Lipsy Sabu, AHM, Boys’ Section Proposed the vote of thanks. IIS HOLDS 39th ANNUAL SPORTS DAY

The 39th Annual Sports Day of Ideal Indian School concluded with great fanfare and a fascinating performance by 1,200 students. Earlier, approximately 3,000 students took part in the preliminary heats of various track and field events under sub-junior, junior, senior, and super senior categories. In the grand finale, Chief Guest Olympian Ms. Mariam Mamdouh Farid, declared the meet open after taking salutes from the marching athletes and hoisting the school flag. Ms. Fajr Abdulmohsin Atea, Community Sports Expert, Qatar Olympic Committee and Ms. Saeeda Mubarak, Member of Qatar Olympic Committee, were the Guests of Honour. They were presented with a guard of honour by the four Houses of the school. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb and the Heads of all Sections. Opening the sports meet Chief Guest Ms. Mariam Mamdouh Farid expressed happiness and joy at her presence in the school sports day and wished all success for the sports activities of the school. The Guest of Honour Ms. Fajr Abdulmohsin Atea congratulated IIS for hosting an exciting sporting event. Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb presented the Annual Sports Report. He highlighted the school’s achievements in international tournaments, at CBSE Qatar cluster championships, CBSE National meets and various local sports events. A colourful display of Mass Drill by the Junior Section, a cultural presentation titled “Memories of FIFA 2022” by the students of the Girls’ Section and a Martial Arts display by the Boys’ Sections enthralled the spectators with their mesmerizing uniformity and cohesion. Students performed remarkably well and brought laurels in national and international sports meets and were honoured during the occasion. The recognition also extended to Mr. Amazad Khan, Trainer of the School Taekwondo team and Mr. Pramod Ravi, the School Athletic Coach, who were honoured during the occasion. House contingents of boys were led by Head Boy Ahmed Mohammed Faisal and Asst. Head Boy Gouri Shanker. Meanwhile, Mary Stenicka, the Head Girl, and Shreya Saravanan, the Asst. Head Girl, led the girls’ contingents. Minha Binth Mohammed, Sports Secretary of the girls’ Section, welcomed the gathering, while Abdul Latif, Sports Secretary of the Boys’ Section, proposed the vote of thanks. The sports meet concluded with the students of the Girls’ Section participating in a march past, proudly carrying their respective house flags.  The Head Girl and the four House Captains of the Girls’ Sections brought the school flag down and reverently handed it to the Guest of Honour Ms. Fajr Abdulmohsin Atea, who finally declared the Meet closed. Mr. Azam Khan, Vice Principal of the Boys’ Section and Mr. Nowfal V.M, Head of Physical Education, coordinated the program.

IIS LAUNCHED IT CLUB FOR DIGITAL INNOVATION

Ideal Indian School recently inaugurated its IT Club, marking the beginning of a new era in technological innovation and underscoring the school’s dedication to providing students with a state-of-the-art learning environment. Dr. Adnan Abu-Dayya, the Chief Guest and Executive Director at Qatar Mobility Innovations Centre (QMIC), inaugurated the club by unveiling its logo. Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, Heads of Sections, and Heads of various departments attended the function. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb emphasized the school’s commitment in preparing students for the challenges and opportunities presented by the digital age. In his address, Chief Guest Dr. Adnan Abu urged the students, as future leaders and innovators, to embrace transformative technology and utilize their skills to make a positive impact on their community, society, and the global stage. He expressed his hope that the Ideal IT Club would serve as a launchpad, providing knowledge, skills, and aspirations to empower students as active contributors to realizing Qatar’s digital vision, both within and beyond Qatar. The office bearers of the club were officially invested with badges on the occasion, presented by the Chief Guest and the Principal. The office bearers of the IT Club are Akshay Keerthi (President-Boys Section) Mirza Jaffer (Secretary-Boys Section)  Mohd. Farzee (Editor -Boys’ Section), Heba Benny (President -Girls Section), Najla (Secretary –Girls’ Section) and Mourine Mohd (Editor-Girls Section). Earlier, the Club conducted competitions in Poster Making, Video Editing, and Logo Design, and the winners were awarded trophies and certificates on the occasion. Najla of class XI welcomed the gathering and Heba Benny of class XII proposed the vote of thanks. Akshay Keerthi, the cultural secretary outlined the aims and objectives of the club. ALL INDIA CBSE NATIONAL ATHLETIC MEET 2023-24

IIS team won 2 individual and 1 team bronze medals in the All India CBSE National Athletic Championship 2023-24 under 17 category held at NH Goel World School, India. Winners are Yesyef Halefom 10 A – Discuss Throw, Ihsan Ismail 11 A – 200m and Ihsan Ismail 11 A, Affan Azad 11 B, Ashish P Rejy 11 C and Muzafar 9 D in 4×100 m relay. The athletic team was trained by Mr. Pramod Ravi. The Principal, staff and students of IIS congratulated the team on their remarkable achievements.
