IIS Excelled in CBSE Cluster Yoga Competition

Ideal Indian School students excelled in the CBSE Cluster Yoga competition held at Scholars International School recently. The Under 14 team emerged as champions, with Anushka Anil (9K) crowned the individual champion. Other team members included Sreenitha V. Praseeth (8L), Rebekah Cherian (8L) and Catherine Mejo (6I). The Under 17 and Under 19 teams both secured second place. The Under 17 team comprised Nakshatra Vigneshwaran (11F), Aseel Elfatih (11G), Daniya Rahman (8L) and Barza Jasser (5G). The Under 19 team featured Sreenanda V. Praseeth (11F), Aishwarya Sunil (12G), Suditi Padiachy (11G) and Shouq (12G). Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb and the Head of Sections congratulated the team for their glorious performance.

IIS TEAM WINS BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIP

The Ideal Indian School Boys’ Badminton teams recently participated in the CBSE Qatar Cluster Badminton Tournament held at DPS Monarch International School and exhibited exceptional performance that brought pride to our institution. The Under-14 team secured a Silver medal, while the Under-17 team clinched a Bronze medal. The school’s talented athletes representing the Under-14 Boys’ Category included Muhammad Noman Sayeed (8B), Mohammad Yahiya Yakkoob (8C), and Adon Cheriyan Liju (4D). In the Under-17 Boys’ Category, Muhammad Aman Sayeed (10A), Tomy Fernando James (10E), and Fauzan Ahmed (11A) demonstrated remarkable skill and teamwork. Mr. Satender Singh Panwar was assigned the role of being in charge of the boys’ badminton teams, with Mr. Fayaz Ahamed serving as Team Manager. Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb and the Head of Sections congratulated the badminton teams for their outstanding achievements. IIS Celebrated Grandparents Day

Grandparents are the treasured pillars of wisdom, tradition and love within a family. Their care and guidance strengthen the foundation of family bonds. To honor their invaluable role, Ideal Indian School recently celebrated Grandparents Day. Ms. Shirley De Sales, Headmistress of the KG Section, warmly welcomed the parents and highlighted the profound impact grandparents have on shaping lives. The kindergarten students delighted the audience with a captivating song, setting the tone for a memorable event. The teachers of the KG section also presented a song on the occasion. Grandparents actively participated in various fun-filled activities such as singing and games like Clash of Glass, Crazy Eights, and Woody Game and the winners received prizes. Each grandparent was gifted a handmade greeting card created by the students, a heartfelt token of love and appreciation. The grandparents expressed their gratitude to Ideal Indian School for nurturing the bond between generations through such meaningful events. Students of the KG section engaged in making greeting cards by hand-printing on worksheets for their grandparents, making the day even more special.

IIS STUDENT SHINES AT CHETNA 2024

To celebrate and highlight the importance of Hindi, the most widely spoken language in India, M.E.S. Doha, Qatar, organized “CHETNA 2024” on 12th September 2024. The event featured a range of competitions across various age groups. In the Mono Act competition, Samridhi Panwar, a Class 8 student from Ideal Indian School, secured first place, showcasing her talent and bringing pride to her school.

INSTALLATION OF NEW EXCOM OF IDEAL INDIAN SCHOOL GAVEL CLUB

The installation ceremony for the new Excom for Ideal Indian School Gavel Club was a landmark event, celebrating the beginning of a journey aimed at enhancing the public speaking and leadership skills of its members. The event was held on 02nd June at KG Auditorium, attended by a diverse group of participants including club members, guests, and dignitaries. The ceremony began with a warm welcome by Secretary of the club Master Dafydd Reagan, who expressed gratitude to all attendees for their support and participation. The installation of new club officers was the highlight of the event. The new executive committee (Excom) members were introduced, and their roles were officially handed over. The new officers include: • President: MS SHREYA SARAVANAN • Vice President Education: MS UZMA SHARMEEN • Vice President Membership: MASTER MUHAMMED IHSAN • Vice President Public Relations: MS VENICA ANIL • Secretary: MASTER DAYDD REAGAN • Treasurer: MASTER HANZALA M SHAFI • Sergeant at Arms: MASTER AYMAN MUHAMMED Each officer took an oath of office, pledging to uphold the principles and values of the Gavel Club and to work towards its growth and success. A keynote speech was delivered by MTM Nirmala Raghuraman, Divion E director a distinguished member of the Toastmasters community. The speech focused on the importance of leadership and communication skills in personal and professional development. The oath was administered by MTM Priya Shembekar Area Director 17, who also shared inspiring anecdotes and practical advice on how to make the most of the Gavel Club experience. MTM Mehjabeen Anjum also attended the installation Ceremony. Mr Shaik Shamim Saheb Principal of Ideal Indian School, congratulated the new Excom members. IIS OBSERVED NO TOBACCO DAY

Ideal Indian School observed No Tobacco Day, aligning with global efforts to highlight the harmful effects of tobacco use and promote a tobacco-free lifestyle. Various programs were organized in all sections to create awareness among students about the dangers of tobacco and its impact on health. In the junior section, a morning assembly featured a skit to raise awareness and Nabiha from class 4 delivered a speech. Students learned about passive smoking and ways to avoid it. Both the Boys’ and Girls’ Sections participated in various activities to mark the day. These activities included a video screening, an awareness campaign, drawing and poster-making competition, all designed to educate students about the dangers of tobacco consumption.

IIS HOLDS TEACHERS ORIENTATION

Ideal Indian School recently organised a teachers’ orientation program aimed at updating them on the latest educational developments and enhancing their understanding of effective pedagogy. The program began with an insightful session led by Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, who discussed the critical topic of “Alignment of Vision and Mission with Curriculum.” This session emphasised the importance of ensuring that the school’s vision and mission are effectively integrated into the curriculum, thereby providing a cohesive educational experience for students. Following this, Dr. Nazima Bi Shaik, Vice Principal, Girls’ Section delivered an engaging presentation on the topic of psychological well-being in schools. Her talk highlighted the significance of mental health for both students and teachers, offering strategies to create a supportive and nurturing school environment. Mr. Sajid Shamim, Headmaster Junior Section coordinated the Teachers’ orientation programme.

IIS INAUGURATES MATHS CLUB

The Department of Mathematics inaugurated the Maths club on 22 May 2024. The event marked a significant milestone in the school’s commitment to fostering a love for mathematics and providing students with opportunities to explore the subject beyond the classroom. The students from various grades displayed their innovative projects and models, ranging from geometric constructions and algebraic puzzles to statistical analysis and real-life applications of calculus. Several students presented interesting mathematical projects and models they had worked on. Their presentations showcased their creativity and the practical applications of mathematical concepts. The Chief Guest, Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, Principal of Ideal Indian School, inaugurated the event by cutting the ribbon. He was accompanied by the Heads of Sections of the Boys, Girls, Junior, and KG sections. A special moment of the event was the unveiling of the Maths Club logo by the Principal, Heads of all sections, and the Mathematics Head of the Department. It features a blend of geometric shapes and mathematical symbols, representing the diverse fields within mathematics. The office bearers of the club were inducted on the occasion. Luqman Ameen from Class XII B was appointed as President of Boys’ Section Iffat Fatimah of Class XII F as the President of Girls’ Section, followed by Jagreet Singh Sidhu from Class XII A as the Secretary from the Boys’ section, and Aqsa Ameer of Class XII E as the Secretary from the Girls’ section. In an inspiring speech, Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb expressed the importance of Maths in our daily lives. He also spoke about the numerous career opportunities available for those passionate about mathematics and encouraged students to pursue their interests with dedication and enthusiasm. He congratulated the students and teachers who worked tirelessly to bring this club to life. The teachers and students of all classes visited the exhibition. More than 180 models were exhibited. Many projects showcased collaborative efforts, emphasizing teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration. Numerous projects demonstrated a strong connection to real-world applications. The event was hosted by Dafydd and Riti Doshi of Class 12. Bhavith Babu welcomed the gathering and Ayesha Reem proposed the vote of thanks. Head boy Gouri Shankar enlightened the objectives and importance of the Club.

IIS HOLDS PTA MEETING

Ideal Indian School conducted its Parent Teacher Association Meet for the current academic year recently. In his opening remarks, Principal Shaik Shamim Saheb emphasised the school’s vision and mission, and how the PTA will support these goals. He explained that the meeting aims to strengthen communication and collaboration between parents and teachers. This will allow for open discussion about your children’s academic progress and overall well-being. Ms. Dhanya Priya, President of the PTA, assured attendees that the committee would maintain consistent communication and collaboration with the school administration. Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb presented the Annual Report for the Academic Year 2023-24 and engaged in a productive interaction session with parents, addressing their concerns comprehensively. Ms. Safeera, Teacher, Boys‘ Section welcomed the gathering and Ms. Shanooja, Teacher, Boys’ Section proposed the vote of thanks. IIS STUDENTS EXCEL IN SCHOOL OLYMPIC PROGRAMME

Ideal Indian School excelled in the recently held SOP 17th Edition finals. Schools’ Taekwondo boys and girls teams, primary level-1 gymnastic team and athletic teams participated and brought laurels to the school by winning medals in different competitions. The School Taekwondo team won 1 gold, 5 silver and 14 bronze medals. Miss. Hina Jaswan of 3 H won the gold medal representing the Primary Level-1 category, Silver medal winners are: AIZEN ABDULLA 3A, ⁠RISHIKESH 7 C, MUHAMMED IFFAN 6 E, MOHAMMED MISHAL 10 D AND DIYA FATHIMA ( 9-K) Bronze Medal Winner: ANAYA MERZAN CHHOI 3H, MUHAB MUSTHAFA MOOSA 6 B, HASHIM PARIYARATHU 7 B, MUHAMMED MUZAMMIL MUNEER 7 C, AHAMMED HAYAN SAKEER 9 A, ⁠RAYHAN SIDHIQUE 9 B, DANIEL KOLENCHERY SELISH 9 C, RABIYA NAYEEM ( 7-F), NASREEN NOUSHAD ( 7-G), ALAA ALHADI ( 7-H), FATHIMA SHAZA( 8-K), CRISTIANA ZERAH (8-J) AND RUQAYA ALTAF ( 9-J). The team was trained and accompanied by Martial Arts coach Mr. Amazad Khan, Girls Physical Education Teacher Ms. Suman Panwar, and sports enthusiast from the Junior Section Ms. Sharon Metilda Soans (English Teacher) The brilliant 3 medals win of Master Ihsan Ismail, 12 A made the school athletic team win 1 gold, 1 individual bronze and 1 team bronze medal respectively in the 60m dash, 200m dash and 4x100m relay competitions. Relay team members are: Ihsan Ismail of 12 A, Muhammed Ihsan 12 A, Ashish Papachan Rejy 12 C, and Ammar Obaid Qazi 12 C. The team was trained by School Athletic Coach, Mr. Pramod Ravi. School Primary Level-1 Artistic Gymnastics Team bagged two medals for the first time in the history of Ideal Indian School SOP competitions. In individual competitions, Master Sayed Muhammed Munafar, 4A won bronze medals and Ideal won bronze medal in team competitions as well. Team members are: Sayed Muhammed Munafar- 5A, ⁠Ahmad Sinan-5B, ⁠Mohammad Nauman- 5A, Ahyad Nalloor, 4 B. The Team was trained by the Junior Section Physical Education Teacher, Mr. Raheem.
