IIS CELEBRATED INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

Ideal Indian School celebrated International Women’s Day with a lot of festivities, dedicating the day to all the strong women in the world especially the women members of the IIS family. Mr. Shaikh Shamim Sahib, the Principal and all the Heads of the Section graced the occasion with their presence.Women’s Day celebration began with a thoughtful prayer service by Ms. Zohra. The gathering was extended a gracious welcome with a Welcome Speech by Ms. Rajula Sadath. Mr. Shaikh Shamim Sahib, Principal was welcomed with a bouquet of flowers as a token of gratitude and love. All the lady Heads of the Section were welcomed with a colourful blossom as a gesture of appreciation for their leadership, dedication and invaluable contributions to the school.On this special occasion, the Principal talked about the necessity of the equality of women in today’s world. He motivated all women to take up challenges and embrace equality in all areas of life. The Overall Coordinator of the day was Ms. Khatija T.C., Headmistress of Girls’ Section. A colourful display of Group Dance, Skit, Group Songs, Solo Song, Solo Dance and a Fashion Show were presented by the teachers of all sections. Teachers were selected and crowned in various titles, such as the ‘Best Attire’ awarded to Ms. Soubhagya, the ‘Best Jewellery’ to Ms. Padmaja, the ‘Best Hijab’ to Ms. Saba Harris, and the ‘Queen of the Day’ title bestowed upon Ms. Rasitha.Exciting and fun-filled games were organized for the lady teachers during the occasion, and prizes were awarded to the winners. The heads of all sections and the teaching and non-teaching faculty witnessed the program. Ms. Sharon proposed the vote of thanks. The entire program of the day was compered by Ms. Soumya and Ms. Masarath. It was a remarkable day where the women staff showed their talents in multiple ways leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.

IIS Junior Section Bids Farewell to Grade 4 Students

Ideal Indian School’s Junior Section bid farewell to its Grade 4 students on March 3, 2024, at the APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium. This transition from class 4 to 5 and the move to the Boys and Girls section marks a significant milestone in the educational journey of these students, symbolizing the beginning of a new chapter filled with opportunities for growth, learning, and self-discovery. Ms. Sheela Ramesh and Ms. Jaseena welcomed the Grade 4 students to the venue. The event started with a prayer by Master Abdul Rahman. Ms. Tanu Madhvi and Ms. Jayasri Suresh hosted the program along with the Grade 3 students. Principal, Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, graced the occasion with his presence and extended his wishes to the students. The heads of other sections and departments attended the program. Mr. Sajid Shamim, the Headmaster, addressed the students. Memorable gifts were presented to all the Grade 4 students as a symbolic representation of love. The students who scored the highest marks in academics and co-scholastics were awarded with the mementos. Principal Shaik Shamim Saheb gave away the prizes. IIS EXCELS AT SCHOOLS OLYMPICS PROGRAMME ATHLETICS FINALS

Ideal Indian School athletics team participated in the Schools Olympics Programme Athletics Finals which was held from February 25 to 27, 2024, at Al Arabi Stadium. IIS team students showcased remarkable athletic prowess, bringing home a total of six medals. The highlight of the event was Ihsan Ismail from Class 11 A, who not only clinched the gold medal in the 60m sprint but also demonstrated his versatility by securing a bronze medal in the 200m race. The collective strength of Ideal Indian School’s relay team shone through in the 4x100m relay event. The team, consisting of Ihsan Ismail of class 11 A, Mohammed Ihsan of class 11A, Ashish Rejy of class 11 C, and Ammar Obaid of Class 11 C, demonstrated exceptional teamwork and speed, earning the school a well-deserved bronze medal in the relay category. Ihsan Ismail’s achievements underscored his dedication and skill, contributing significantly to the school’s overall success. The gold and bronze medals in sprinting events added a glorious chapter to Ideal Indian School’s sports history.

QATAR NATIONAL ENVIRONMENT DAY

IIS observed Qatar National Environment Day on February 26, 2024, with fervor and enthusiasm. The theme for this year’s Environment Day, ‘Our Earth, Our Legacy,’ resonated throughout the events organized to mark the occasion. In the Junior Section, the day commenced with a special morning assembly led by Ms. Aryalakshmi, aiming to educate students about the significance of environmental preservation. Shreya Rakesh delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of protecting the environment. Mr. Sajid Shamim, Headmaster, and Ms. Shyla Jose, Assistant Headmistress, joined the celebration and applauded the participants and teachers for their efforts and dedication. At the Girls’ Section, a special morning assembly for class V students was held to develop an interest in students towards the environment, building a sustainable future, and cooperating to develop the national environment. Samridhi Panwar delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting the urgent need to address issues such as soil erosion and air pollution. Dr. Nazima Bi Sheikh, Vice Principal, and Ms. Khatija T.C, Headmistress, graced the event with their presence. The assemblies served to instill a sense of responsibility and commitment among students toward safeguarding the environment. IIS HOSTS GUIDES TRAINING CAMP TO FOSTER LEADERSHIP AND SUSTAINABILITY

Ideal Indian School recently hosted a Guides Training Camp organised by the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association on the theme “Sustainability and World Thinking Day” to honor and celebrate the scouting movement initiated by Robert Baden Powell. Mr. Khalid Al-Hetmi , Scout Activities Consultant, Ms. Muna Jumah Al Mansouri, 1st Scout Activities Expert, Ms. Sara Al-Sultan, Scout Activities Consultant and Ms. Paramjeet Bhullar, Coordinator for Expatriate Schools were the Guests of Honor who graced the occasion. Principal of Ideal Indian School Mr. Shaikh Shamim Saheb, Vice-principal of the Girls’ Section, Dr. Nazima Bi Shaikh, Headmistress Girls’ section Ms. Khatija TC and Headmaster Junior Section Mr. Sajid Shamim also attended the program. The ceremony commenced with a prayer by Saja and Hanan and Riti Milan Doshi extended a warm welcome to the gathering. The Qatar Flag Hoisting Ceremony was led by Head Guide of Ideal Indian School Akshaya Jayakosh, Swathi Gireesh Kumar and Crystal Jerustha. A total of 140 Guides and 20 Leaders from 10 expatriate schools participated in the training camp. Various training sessions such as Camp Essentials, Self-Defense, First Aid, Gadget Making, and Team Building were organized to train the Guides of different schools. Another session for Fire Safety was coordinated under the supervision of Ms. Sara Qabil Badshah (Civil Defense Officer) to enlighten the Guides regarding various fire safety techniques. To celebrate the birth anniversary of Baden Powell, various programs were conducted including a speech by Shreya Saravanan of Class XI and a group song by the Guides of IIS. The Guides of Philippine School Doha enthusiastically performed a dance as a part of the celebration. For the ‘Yell and Cheer’ competition, the Guides of Ideal Indian School and Philippine School Doha shared 1st place, MES Indian School got 2nd place, and 3rd place was awarded to The Next Generation School. In ‘Patrol Flag Designing’, 1st Place was secured by Bangladesh MHM School, 2nd Place was bagged by Ideal Indian School, and 3rd Place was awarded to Noble International School. The principal of Ideal Indian School, Mr. Shaikh Shamim Saheb congratulated all the Winners. During his speech, he encouraged Guides to develop leadership and teamwork to promote the scouting movement and community services. Fathima Zia, the Asst. Head Guide proposed the Vote of Thanks. The event was compered by Safa Shaikh. Scout Master Mr. Vijayant Thapa and Guide’s Incharge Ms. Suman Panwar coordinated the event.

IIS HOLDS KG DAY

Ideal Indian School recently held a colorful evening for the tiny tots of Kindergarten to mark their graduation to the Junior Section of the school, adding new dimensions to their school life and the journey they embark on toward a shiny, bright, and glorious future. School President Dr. Hassan Kunhi M.P. graced the occasion as the chief guest of the day. Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, Headmistress of the K.G. section Ms. Shirley De Sales, as well as the heads of other sections and departments, attended the function. In his keynote address, President Dr. Hassan Kunhi M.P. congratulated the hardworking teachers of the KG Section for their tireless efforts in making the day possible. He also recognized the significant role that parents play in their children’s success and development, particularly when they achieve their first educational milestone. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim said that the school provides a supportive and nurturing environment that helps children make a smooth transition and prepares them for the next phase of their academic journey. Ms. Shirley De Sales, the Headmistress of the K.G. section, welcomed the gathering and mentioned that the graduation marks the beginning of a lifetime of success and happiness for every one of them. The evening was made memorable with a colorful presentation by the tiny tots of the KG Section, featuring the theme of “Global Dance Festo”. The program showcased a variety of dances from around the world, including those from Qatar, Spain, Russia, Africa, Brazil, America, and India. It was applauded by the packed audience of parents, guests, and well-wishers, making it an unforgettable evening. Ahmad Khan from KGll recited verses from the Holy Quran, and Mysha Fatima of KGll proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Gauri Selvaraj hosted the program.

IIS HOLDS GRADUATION CEREMONY FOR CLASS XII STUDENTS

Ideal Indian School recently held a Graduation Ceremony to honor its departing Class XII students. Adorned in ceremonial robes and caps, the Class XII students of IIS proceeded to the KG Auditorium for their Annual Graduation Ceremony. Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, accompanied by the Heads of the Boys’ and Girls’ Sections, extended warm greetings to the students, wishing them success in the upcoming CBSE board exams. In his inspiring keynote address, Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb urged the students to bravely confront life’s challenges with courage. The Principal and Heads of Boys’ and Girls’ Sections then distributed examination hall tickets to the students.

IIS HONOURS SPOTLIGHT WINNERS

In a recently organized Prize Distribution Ceremony, Ideal Indian School honored the winners of Spotlight 2023, the cultural competition. More than 1700 students from the Junior, Boys, and Girls Sections took part in this talent recognition exercise. Divided into four categories – Sub-junior, Junior, Intermediate, and Senior – competitions ranged from performing arts to painting, vocal and instrumental music, classical and folk dances, songs, poem recitation, rangoli, public speaking, storytelling, and Quran memorization. Hifz, Tajweed and Adhan were exclusively for Muslim students. Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb presented the trophies to the winning houses and certificates to the winners. IIS LAUNCHES ECO KIDS CLUB

The Junior Section of Ideal Indian School proudly inaugurated the ‘ECO KIDS’ CLUB under the theme ‘GREEN QATAR IS OUR FUTURE.’ Recognizing that to plant a garden today is to invest in tomorrow, the club’s motto echoed, “He who plants a tree, plants hope. The inaugural ceremony commenced with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Ammar Md. Irshadullah of class 4. Maysa Ahmed, also from class 4, extended a warm welcome to all attendees. Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, the principal, ceremoniously inaugurated the event by cutting the ribbon, symbolizing a new chapter in environmental care and guardianship. Following this, saplings were planted and watered. The principal imparted invaluable advice to the students, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the plants to safeguard our environment. The primary objective of planting saplings was to instill environmental consciousness among students, emphasizing the critical role trees play in mitigating climate change and fostering sustainable practices. Led by the principal, all present pledged their commitment to environmental responsibility. The Junior Section choir students added a melodious touch to the occasion with their captivating song. The event was hosted by Ms. Sharon Metilda. Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, Headmaster Mr. Sajid Shamim, and AHM Ms. Shyla Jose, Students and teachers enthusiastically joined in planting saplings, marking a collective effort towards a greener future. IIS SCOUTS PARTICIPATED IN NATIONAL SPORT DAY

Ideal Indian School Scouts participated in the Qatar National Sport Day Program in collaboration with the Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue (DICID) under the slogan “Scouting Movement between Sports and Dialogue” at the Qatar Scouts & Guides Association centre. The program began with a cycling event followed by football and basketball competitions. The event aimed to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and a love for outdoor activities among the youth. The second session began with a presentation by DICID that focused on cultural understanding and appreciation for different perspectives, traditions, and ways of life, enriching our collective human experience and promoting unity amidst diversity. The events proved to be an enriching experience, combining physical activity, cultural understanding, and a sense of community. At the end of the program, all participants were presented gifts by the organizers. Six scouts from Ideal Indian School, along with Mr. Vijayant Thapa (Scout Master), attended the Qatar National Sports Day Program.
