IIS HONOURS MERITORIOUS STUDENTS

Ideal Indian School felicitated meritorious students who made it to the Principal’s Honors List by securing higher grades in the school’s final examinations during the academic year 2023-24. A special assembly was organized in the school recently to honor nearly 600 meritorious students from the Junior, Boys’, and Girls’ Sections. Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb awarded medals and certificates to the students. On this occasion, the Principal extended congratulations to the students, applauding their hard work and perseverance, and offered wishes for their future success. Trophies were awarded to various houses that excelled in curricular and co-curricular activities. In the Junior Section, the Champion House of the Year award went to Blue House, headed by Ms. Sharon Metilda. In the Boys’ Section, Yellow House, headed by Ms. Shanooja, won the overall championship, while in the Girls’ Section, Green House, led by Ms. Nafisha Sultana, was declared the Champion House. These houses received championship trophies from the Principal. The heads of the Junior, Boys’, and Girls’ sections, along with house coordinators, housemistresses, housemasters and heads of departments, attended the function.

IIS KINDERGARTEN CELEBRATED SHAPES DAY

The KG section of IIS marked Shapes Day on recently. Kids donned various shape-themed costumes like pizza, watermelon, bottle, clock, scale, TV, and more, each carrying a card displaying different shapes. KG II pupils crafted headbands featuring assorted shapes as part of the festivities. The children’s enthusiasm was evident in their spirited participation in both dressing up and engaging in the activities.

IIS INTRODUCES ACTIVITY UNIFORM

Ideal Indian School recently introduced a new Activity Uniform for students from Grade 1 to Grade 12 aiming to provide comfort, flexibility, and functionality during various physical activities and special events. The new Activity Uniform was officially introduced on the No Bag Day Activity Day, where students had the opportunity to wear it for the first time. During the No Bag Day, students engaged in a variety of activities, including games, and exercises, all while wearing the new Activity Uniform. Students showcased enthusiasm and excitement while participating in different activities, indicating their appreciation for the new uniform.

IIS OBSERVES EARTH DAY

Ideal Indian School observed Earth Day with a number of activities. The theme of Earth Day 2024 is ‘PLANET VS PLASTIC’, aiming to highlight the growing concerns about the loss of biodiversity and depletion of the quality of the environment. In the Junior Section, several child-centered activities were conducted to create awareness about the conservation of natural resources. A special assembly was conducted which included speeches, display of placards, and a rendition of an Earth Day song. The students also actively took part in a cleaning program at the school thereby gaining a proper understanding of waste disposal. Students also showed their love and care for Mother Earth by participating in poster-making, coloring activities, and making badges with thoughtful Earth Day slogans. The highlight of the day was an exhibition where students showcased their artistic and creative skills. The Principal, Mr. Sheikh Shamim Saheb, emphasised the importance of conserving water and electricity, as well as reducing plastic usage. Headmaster Mr. Sajid Shamim and Section Coordinator Ms. Jaseena Abdulla joined the celebration and applauded the participants and teachers for their work, emphasizing the importance of the day. Finally, the students took a pledge to preserve and conserve their self-sustaining planet. Students from both the Girls’ and Boys’ Sections enthusiastically participated in an inter-house bulletin board contest, demonstrating their awareness of environmental protection, ecosystem restoration, and sustainable living.

IIS HOLDS TEACHERS’ REFRESHER PROGRAMME

Ideal Indian School organized a two-day Teachers Refresher Programme in line with the school’s commitment to keeping the teaching faculty abreast of the latest teaching trends, enhancing their knowledge and teaching methodology, and fostering a better understanding of their students. The inaugural day of the programme commenced with a workshop led by Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb on the topic ‘Collaboration and Teamwork for Better Workplace Performance’. He emphasized the importance of cultivating a collaborative environment within the educational setting, highlighting its profound impact on overall institutional efficiency. The second session of the first day featured a presentation by Mr. Sajid Shamim, Headmaster of the Junior Section, on “Code of Ethics and Conduct – The MoE guidelines for the School and its stakeholders in the State of Qatar”. On the second day, various sections and departments conducted meetings and workshops in preparation for the upcoming academic year. IIS CELEBRATED INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

Ideal Indian School celebrated International Women’s Day with a lot of festivities, dedicating the day to all the strong women in the world especially the women members of the IIS family. Mr. Shaikh Shamim Sahib, the Principal and all the Heads of the Section graced the occasion with their presence.Women’s Day celebration began with a thoughtful prayer service by Ms. Zohra. The gathering was extended a gracious welcome with a Welcome Speech by Ms. Rajula Sadath. Mr. Shaikh Shamim Sahib, Principal was welcomed with a bouquet of flowers as a token of gratitude and love. All the lady Heads of the Section were welcomed with a colourful blossom as a gesture of appreciation for their leadership, dedication and invaluable contributions to the school.On this special occasion, the Principal talked about the necessity of the equality of women in today’s world. He motivated all women to take up challenges and embrace equality in all areas of life. The Overall Coordinator of the day was Ms. Khatija T.C., Headmistress of Girls’ Section. A colourful display of Group Dance, Skit, Group Songs, Solo Song, Solo Dance and a Fashion Show were presented by the teachers of all sections. Teachers were selected and crowned in various titles, such as the ‘Best Attire’ awarded to Ms. Soubhagya, the ‘Best Jewellery’ to Ms. Padmaja, the ‘Best Hijab’ to Ms. Saba Harris, and the ‘Queen of the Day’ title bestowed upon Ms. Rasitha.Exciting and fun-filled games were organized for the lady teachers during the occasion, and prizes were awarded to the winners. Ideal Indian School recently held a colorful evening for the tiny tots of Kindergarten to mark their graduation to the Junior Section of the school, adding new dimensions to their school life and the journey they embark on toward a shiny, bright, and glorious future. School President Dr. Hassan Kunhi M.P. graced the occasion as the chief guest of the day. Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, Headmistress of the K.G. section Ms. Shirley De Sales, as well as the heads of other sections and departments, attended the function. In his keynote address, President Dr. Hassan Kunhi M.P. congratulated the hardworking teachers of the KG Section for their tireless efforts in making the day possible. He also recognized the significant role that parents play in their children’s success and development, particularly when they achieve their first educational milestone. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim said that the school provides a supportive and nurturing environment that helps children make a smooth transition and prepares them for the next phase of their academic journey. Ms. Shirley De Sales, the Headmistress of the K.G. section, welcomed the gathering and mentioned that the graduation marks the beginning of a lifetime of success and happiness for every one of them. The evening was made memorable with a colorful presentation by the tiny tots of the KG Section, featuring the theme of “Global Dance Festo”. The program showcased a variety of dances from around the world, including those from Qatar, Spain, Russia, Africa, Brazil, America, and India. IIS HOLDS GRADUATION CEREMONY FOR CLASS XII STUDENTS

Ideal Indian School recently held a Graduation Ceremony to honor its departing Class XII students. Adorned in ceremonial robes and caps, the Class XII students of IIS proceeded to the KG Auditorium for their Annual Graduation Ceremony. Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, accompanied by the Heads of the Boys’ and Girls’ Sections, extended warm greetings to the students, wishing them success in the upcoming CBSE board exams. In his inspiring keynote address, Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb urged the students to bravely confront life’s challenges with courage. IIS HONOURS SPOTLIGHT WINNERS

In a recently organized Prize Distribution Ceremony, Ideal Indian School honored the winners of Spotlight 2023, the cultural competition. More than 1700 students from the Junior, Boys, and Girls Sections took part in this talent recognition exercise. Divided into four categories – Sub-junior, Junior, Intermediate, and Senior – competitions ranged from performing arts to painting, vocal and instrumental music, classical and folk dances, songs, poem recitation, rangoli, public speaking, storytelling, and Quran memorization. Hifz, Tajweed and Adhan were exclusively for Muslim students. Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb presented the trophies to the winning houses and certificates to the winners.
