The Heritage Club of Ideal Indian School organized a field trip to the Al Zubarah World Heritage Site in Qatar to promote Qatar’s national identity, explore its historical places, and raise students’ awareness of the importance of heritage sites. A total of 50 students from grades V to VIII, representing both the Girls’ and Boys’ sections, took part in this educational excursion. The coordinators for the event were Ms. Afrin A. from the Girls’ section and Mr. Shakeer H. from the Boys’ section.

Al-Zubarah is a historical and archaeological site located on the northwestern coast of the Qatar Peninsula. It was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013 due to its significance as a well-preserved example of a trading and pearl-fishing village from the 18th and 19th centuries in the Gulf region. The site provides valuable insights into the economic, social, and cultural aspects of the region during that historical period. Students visiting Al-Zubarah can learn about the architectural features of the site, the lifestyle of its inhabitants, and the role it played in the maritime trade and pearling industry of the time. For the students, it was a fascinating and highly instructive educational visit.
