SEASONS DAY CELEBRATION

The Kindergarten Section of Ideal Indian School recently celebrated Seasons Day. KG 1 and KG 2 students learned about the four seasons through fun activities and creative presentations. Children dressed as seasonal elements like snowmen, butterflies, flowers, the sun and umbrellas. A colorful parade in the KG section added excitement to the day. KG 1 students made colorful leaf prints using leaves, cotton and bubble wrap and crafted umbrellas from paper plates. KG 2 students created snowmen, suns, butterflies and paper boats using paper plates and colored paper. The children’s artwork was displayed on soft boards, making the celebration both creative and enjoyable.

Ideal Indian School Celebrates Children’s Day in Honor of Jawaharlal Nehru Ideal Indian School celebrated Children’s Day with great excitement to honor the 134th birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first Prime Minister. Nehru believed that children are the future of the country and worked for their welfare, education and development. The program was attended by the School principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, Heads of Sections, Heads of departments and coordinators. The event included speeches by teachers and students, sharing stories about Nehru’s life and his leadership. Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb addressed the students, calling children the most beautiful creations on Earth. He encouraged them to spread joy and wished them a very happy Children’s Day. The celebration was lively and filled with enthusiasm as teachers from various sections of the school – KG, Junior, Boys, and Girls – actively performed vibrant songs, skits and dances. Their performances created a warm and festive atmosphere, making the celebration truly unforgettable. Fun games were also organized, making the day special and memorable for everyone. The newly started Evening Session of the school also took part in the celebrations with great excitement. Students and teachers from this session joined in happily, adding to the fun and energy of the event.

IIS Observed Rashtriya Ekta Diwas

Ideal Indian School commemorated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas with a series of meaningful activities and assemblies, aimed at instilling values of unity, respect and togetherness among students. The event honored the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, celebrating his role in unifying India and emphasising the importance of national integration. Special assemblies across all sections set the tone for the day. In the Junior Section, students engaged in activities organised to illustrate the concept of unity in a creative and relatable manner. Younger students participated in a word search featuring values like respect and kindness, created “Unity Hand” art projects, and made cards expressing pride in their diverse nation. Class 4 students contributed to a “Unity Chain,” a visual representation of connection and strength, symbolizing that while people may be different, they are all united. The Girls’ Section began with an inspiring assembly and a Unity Run for students in classes 5 to 8. Students dressed in traditional attire from various Indian states showcased the rich cultural diversity of the country. The Unity Run promoted fitness and symbolized teamwork, as students cheered each other on, fostering a sense of national pride and solidarity. This colorful display allowed students to connect with India’s cultural heritage and feel pride in their identities. In the Boys’ Section, students wore costumes representing various states, highlighting the theme of national unity through diversity. Leonel from Class 10 B delivered a speech, followed by a unity pledge from Samardhita Sarkar of Class 9 B. Engaging activities included poster-making, calligraphy, and collage work, all reinforcing the significance of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas. Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, Vice Principal Mr. Azam Khan, Dr. Nazima Bi, Headmistress Ms. Khatija T.C. and Headmaster Mr. Sajid Shamim gave inspiring speeches to the students. They spoke about the importance of respecting differences and building a culture of mutual support.

The NASA expedition team from IIS has successfully returned to Qatar

The NASA expedition team from IIS has successfully returned to Qatar after an exciting and enriching 11-day tour across the United States. During this trip, students had the unique opportunity to explore some of NASA’s most renowned facilities at the Kennedy Space Center. They attended a three-day rocketry workshop and enjoyed an interactive session with astronaut Mike Baker, a seasoned space mission veteran who flew aboard the Space Shuttle. In addition to NASA, the group visited iconic locations across the U.S., including New York City, Washington, D.C., Niagara Falls, Universal Studios and Disneyland.

United Nations DAY CELEBRATED

Ideal Indian School celebrated United Nations Day on 24 October with great enthusiasm, where students and staff gathered to commemorate this important occasion. In the Junior Section, the special morning assembly was graced by the presence of the principal, Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, the headmaster Mr. Sajid Shamim and the section coordinator Ms. Jeseena Abdulla. Following the speeches, the school choir performed a song that beautifully expressed the themes of unity and harmony. The event continued with the students taking a solemn pledge and holding the flags of different nations. The celebration concluded with an inspiring speech by the principal, who spoke about the significance of global unity and the role students can play in addressing the challenges facing the world today. In both the Boys’ and Girls’ sections, the program began with a warm welcome address, followed by the introduction of the theme for the day: “Promoting Peace, Unity and Sustainable Development. The Vice Principals of both sections, Mr. Azam Khan for the Boys and Dr. Nazima Bi for the Girls, then delivered inspiring speeches, emphasizing the significance of the United Nations’ efforts to promote global cooperation, peace and security. The speeches highlighted how the UN has been working to address global challenges such as climate change, poverty and human rights. A group of students took the stage to present information about the various organisations of the United Nations. The students confidently explained the roles and functions of key UN bodies, including the General Assembly, Security Council, International Court of Justice and UNESCO. Their presentations were well-prepared and informative, helping the audience gain a deeper understanding of the United Nations structure and its global impact. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating the efforts of the students, teachers and organisers for making the program a success.

The IIS excursion team actively exploring the landmarks of New York City and Washington, D.C.

The Ideal Indian School’s excursion team is embarking on an exciting journey to explore the iconic landmarks of New York City and Washington, D.C. In New York, students will marvel at the Statue of Liberty, soak in the vibrant atmosphere of Times Square, and enjoy the natural beauty of Central Park. They will also delve into art at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Transitioning to Washington, D.C., the team will visit the White House and reflect at the Lincoln Memorial, gaining insights into American history and democracy. A trip to the Smithsonian Museums will further enrich their understanding of science and culture. This adventure promises not only to be educational but also a memorable experience, allowing students to connect with the rich history and diversity of these two iconic cities.

IIS Holds Cleanliness and Plantation Drive

Ideal Indian School conducted a Cleanliness and Plantation Drive on October 20th and 21st, 2024, as part of the “Swachhata Hi Seva” initiative of Govt. of India. This event aimed to promote health and cleanliness in the community. Students and Scouts & Guides participated in a cleanliness drive, using gloves, brooms and garbage bags to clean the school campus. Afterward, they planted saplings in different areas of the school premises. Guides from the Girls Section led a session on health and hygiene, explaining the importance of cleanliness for better health. Scouts from the Boys Section organised a rally, promoting cleanliness and environmental care. The event involved the Principal Mr. Sahik Shamim Saheb, Heads of Sections, Teachers, Students and Scouts & Guides, promoting teamwork and civic responsibility.
