United Nations DAY CELEBRATED

Ideal Indian School celebrated United Nations Day on 24 October with great enthusiasm, where students and staff gathered to commemorate this important occasion. In the Junior Section, the special morning assembly was graced by the presence of the principal, Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, the headmaster Mr. Sajid Shamim and the section coordinator Ms. Jeseena Abdulla. Following the speeches, the school choir performed a song that beautifully expressed the themes of unity and harmony. The event continued with the students taking a solemn pledge and holding the flags of different nations. The celebration concluded with an inspiring speech by the principal, who spoke about the significance of global unity and the role students can play in addressing the challenges facing the world today. In both the Boys’ and Girls’ sections, the program began with a warm welcome address, followed by the introduction of the theme for the day: “Promoting Peace, Unity and Sustainable Development. The Vice Principals of both sections, Mr. Azam Khan for the Boys and Dr. Nazima Bi for the Girls, then delivered inspiring speeches, emphasizing the significance of the United Nations’ efforts to promote global cooperation, peace and security. The speeches highlighted how the UN has been working to address global challenges such as climate change, poverty and human rights. A group of students took the stage to present information about the various organisations of the United Nations. The students confidently explained the roles and functions of key UN bodies, including the General Assembly, Security Council, International Court of Justice and UNESCO. Their presentations were well-prepared and informative, helping the audience gain a deeper understanding of the United Nations structure and its global impact. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating the efforts of the students, teachers and organisers for making the program a success.

The IIS excursion team actively exploring the landmarks of New York City and Washington, D.C.

The Ideal Indian School’s excursion team is embarking on an exciting journey to explore the iconic landmarks of New York City and Washington, D.C. In New York, students will marvel at the Statue of Liberty, soak in the vibrant atmosphere of Times Square, and enjoy the natural beauty of Central Park. They will also delve into art at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Transitioning to Washington, D.C., the team will visit the White House and reflect at the Lincoln Memorial, gaining insights into American history and democracy. A trip to the Smithsonian Museums will further enrich their understanding of science and culture. This adventure promises not only to be educational but also a memorable experience, allowing students to connect with the rich history and diversity of these two iconic cities.

IIS Holds Cleanliness and Plantation Drive

Ideal Indian School conducted a Cleanliness and Plantation Drive on October 20th and 21st, 2024, as part of the “Swachhata Hi Seva” initiative of Govt. of India. This event aimed to promote health and cleanliness in the community. Students and Scouts & Guides participated in a cleanliness drive, using gloves, brooms and garbage bags to clean the school campus. Afterward, they planted saplings in different areas of the school premises. Guides from the Girls Section led a session on health and hygiene, explaining the importance of cleanliness for better health. Scouts from the Boys Section organised a rally, promoting cleanliness and environmental care. The event involved the Principal Mr. Sahik Shamim Saheb, Heads of Sections, Teachers, Students and Scouts & Guides, promoting teamwork and civic responsibility. The program was coordinated by Scout Master Mr. Vijayant Thapa, Guides Incharge Ms. Suman Panwar, and Scouts Incharge Mr. Suneer AP.

WORLD FOOD DAY CELEBRATED

World Food Day was celebrated by IIS with enthusiasm on October 16. Various activities were organised in KG, Junior, Boys’ and Girls’ Sections to raise awareness about global hunger, healthy eating, and sustainable food practices. Students participated in various activities, such as a word search, making ‘Healthy Plates’ with food pictures, designing ‘Food for Thought Plates and creating clay models of healthy foods, fostering creativity and awareness of balanced diets. They also showcased creativity by making attractive displays with cut fruits and vegetables, using oats as the key ingredient for savory dishes, sweets, smoothies and cakes, and demonstrated artistic skills through fruit and vegetable carving, highlighting the importance of presentation.

IIS STUDENTS SET FOR NASA EDUCATIONAL TRIP

Ideal Indian School is organising an educational trip for its students to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in the USA from 21st to 31st October 2024. A group of 26 students, accompanied by three escorting teachers, will embark on this enriching journey. The students will attend a three-day Space Training Program at the Kennedy Space Center, NASA, Florida. In addition to the NASA experience, the itinerary includes visits to several iconic destinations such as New York City, Washington, D.C., New Jersey, Niagara Falls, Universal Studios and Disneyland, offering students a mix of educational and cultural experiences. IIS regularly organises study and cultural tours to various international destinations for its students.

IIS DOMINATES IN THE CBSE NATIONAL TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP WITH OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE

The IIS team emerged as champions in the recently held CBSE National Taekwondo Championship at Mother India Public School, Uttarakhand, India. The Ideal Indian School team achieved remarkable success by winning the overall championship in the boys’ category, including the Under-14 boys’ championship, Under-17 boys’ championship, and Under-19 boys’ second runner-up. In the Under-19 category, Ammar Obaid Qazi won a silver medal and was also awarded the title of Best Player in the Foreign Zone, while Yedhu Krishna earned a bronze. In the Under-17 category, Ahmed Hayan and Mithraj Vinod both claimed bronze medals. Additionally, Mohammed Hassan secured a silver medal in the Under-14 category, making him the first and youngest-ever silver medallist in the Under-14 category from the Foreign Zone, representing the Junior Section of Ideal Indian School. The Principal, Mr. Shaikh Shamim Saheb and the Heads of Sections commended the Physical Education Department for their unwavering spirit and dedication in training and preparing the students for this championship.

IIS KINDERGARTEN TRANSPORT DAY

The Kindergarten section of Ideal Indian School celebrated Transport Day recently with great enthusiasm and joy. This special event aimed to educate the little ones about various modes of transport while enhancing their learning experience through fun activities and visual displays. The day began with the children arriving dressed as different modes of transport, such as cars, buses, airplanes, trains, ships etc. Their vibrant costumes set a lively tone for the event. Each vehicle was beautifully decorated, helping children visualize and understand different types of transportation.
