Ideal Indian School recently organised an educational tour for the students of the Evening Session to Msheireb Museums, aimed at enhancing their understanding of Qatar’s rich heritage, social transformation and cultural evolution through an immersive learning experience. Msheireb Museums consist of four heritage houses located in Msheireb Downtown Doha, showcasing Qatar’s history, culture and transformation from its early days to the present. A total of 36 students from Grade 8 participated in this educational tour. The students were warmly welcomed by the museum staff, who provided an overview of Msheireb Museums and their historical significance. The visit included guided tours of the four heritage houses—Bin Jelmood House, Company House, Mohammed Bin Jassim House and Radwani House—each offering unique insights into different aspects of Qatar’s past and present. The tour began at Mohammed Bin Jassim House, where students explored the transformation of Msheireb from a traditional neighborhood into a model of sustainable urban development. They learned about Qatar’s vision for heritage conservation and modern city planning. At Bin Jelmood House, which highlights the history of slavery in the region and promotes awareness of human rights and social justice, students engaged in discussions on the importance of freedom, equality, and the impact of historical events on modern society. Next, students visited Company House, which narrates the story of Qatar’s oil industry and the workers who contributed to its development. Through interactive displays and archival materials, they gained a deeper appreciation for the struggles and achievements of the early workforce in shaping Qatar’s economy. The visit concluded at Radwani House, where students gained insights into traditional Qatari family life and social customs. They observed artifacts and exhibits showcasing the evolution of domestic life over the decades. The educational tour to Msheireb Museums was a memorable and insightful experience for IIS students. It not only broadened their historical perspectives but also inspired them to reflect on the importance of cultural preservation and societal progress. Yedhu Krishna K. P. Anand, a grade 12 student of Ideal Indian School, recently showcased his exceptional karate skills on an international platform by participating in the World Karate Federation’s Karate 1-Youth League held at the Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah, U.A.E., from February 20 to 23, 2025. Competing in the highly competitive Junior Kumite Male -55 kg category, Yedhu Krishna demonstrated commendable determination and sportsmanship, marking a significant milestone in his karate journey. Yedhu Krishna has consistently proven his expertise in karate, with one of his most remarkable achievements being the Gold medal victory in the Qatar Open Karate Championship-2024. His dedication and success serve as an inspiration to his peers and the entire school community. Ideal Indian School takes immense pride in Yedhu Krishna’s achievements and extends its heartfelt congratulations on his remarkable journey. Ideal Indian School Kindergarten Evening Session recently celebrated its Graduation Day with immense enthusiasm and joy. The event marked a significant milestone for 160 young graduates, who participated in the ceremony with great excitement. Dressed in adorable graduation gowns and hats while holding their scrolls, the little graduates looked delightful as they took center stage. The event was graced by the Principal, Mr. Sheikh Shamim Saheb, who extended his heartfelt congratulations to the students. A class-wise photography session was held, capturing the proud and joyous moments of the day. The atmosphere was filled with smiles, cheers, and a sense of accomplishment, making it a memorable and cherished occasion for students and teachers alike.

Ideal Indian School honored students with the ‘Star of Ideal’ title in a recent ceremony. Students from Class 1 to 12 were awarded medals based on their behavior, discipline, punctuality, hygiene and etiquette. Mr. Azam Khan, Vice Principal of the Boys’ Section; Ms. Lipsy Sabu, Asst. Headmistress, Boys’ Section, Dr. Nazima BI Sheikh, Vice Principal of the Girls’ Section, Ms. Khatija T.C, Headmistress of the Girls’ Section, Mr. Sajid Shamim, Headmaster of the Junior Section and the Section Coordinator Ms. Jeseena Abdulla presented the medals and certificates to the students.

In honor of India’s Republic Day, Ideal Indian School organised an inter-house patriotic song competition. Students from the Blue, Green, Red, and Yellow houses in both the Boys’ and Girls’ Sections actively participated in the competition rendering group songs with patriotic spirit towards their motherland. Patriotic song-solo contests were held for the Junior Section and Evening Sessions, where students displayed their talent and passion with great enthusiasm. The 76th Republic Day of India was celebrated at Ideal Indian School this morning with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. School President Dr. Hassan Kunhi M.P hoisted the national flag in the school premises amidst the chanting of the national anthem by the School Choir. Principal Mr.Shaik Shamim Saheb, Heads of the Sections, Staff, Scouts and Guides, School Marching Band, parents and students joined the celebrations. In his Republic Day message, President Dr. Hassan Kunhi M.P reminded the students of their vital role in contributing to the nation’s growth and progress and emphasised that each individual has a responsibility to work towards strengthening the fabric of the country through education, integrity, and service. He urged the students to take pride in the progress our nation has achieved and to reaffirm their dedication to building an India that flourishes by upholding the principles enshrined in its Constitution. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb highlighted the significant contributions and selfless sacrifices of national leaders throughout history, which have been crucial in shaping and strengthening the nation. He also added that the Constitution of India places great importance on fostering social justice, ensuring equality, and upholding fairness for all citizens. The flag-hoisting ceremony commenced with a prayer by Zaid Khalid of Class 9. Through their speeches, students reasserted their dedication to their deep connection to their motherland and urged the youth to honour the country’s rich traditions while striving for its progress. Sara Tarik Parkar of Class 9 delivered her speech in Hindi, while AbduRehman Ismail of Class 9 eloquently expressed his thoughts in English. Adding to the patriotic fervor, students from the Boys’, Girls’, Junior and Evening sessions captivated the audience with a soul-stirring song that evoked feelings of national pride. The school band performed a spectacular ceremonial march, showcasing their synchronized rhythm and discipline. Following this, a grand and respectful guard of honor presented to the Chief Guest by the School Scouts and Guides, adding a sense of dignity and pride to the occasion. Boy Scouts and Girl Guides were honoured with certificates and medals for their valuable services rendered on various occasions. Ihsan Shameer, Asst.Cultural Secretary Boys’ Section welcomed the gathering, Nakshatra, Asst. Cultural Secretary, Girls’ Section proposed vote of thanks. The programme was compeered by Ms. Aryalakshmi, Teacher, Junior Section.

Ideal Indian School recently inaugurated the second phase of its Smart Class Education Programme with LED interactive panels. This cutting-edge educational technology, equipped with Teach software, provides a learning environment that integrates advanced interactive programs. The programme was officially launched by School President Dr. Hassan Kunhi MP by cutting the ribbon and switching on the LED panel. Inaugurating the class, he said that the future of education lies in smart learning and the positive use of such aids can significantly enhance the flow of knowledge, enabling students to achieve their goals. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb stated that IIS is committed to improving and modernising the teaching and learning processes in the classroom while continuing to develop more effective and innovative approaches to meet the demands of the changing educational landscape.

The Evening Session of Ideal Indian School conducted a creative and engaging poster-making competition for students as part of the Poshan Maah observance, an initiative by the Government of India aimed at improving the nutritional well-being of children and women. The event sought to raise awareness about the importance of nutrition and healthy eating habits among young minds. Students participated enthusiastically, showcasing their artistic talents and expressing their understanding of the theme through vibrant and thought-provoking posters. This initiative was part of the school’s efforts to promote health and wellness while fostering creativity and active participation among the students. The winners were honored with certificates of achievement.
