IIS DOMINATES IN THE CBSE NATIONAL TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP WITH OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE

The IIS team emerged as champions in the recently held CBSE National Taekwondo Championship at Mother India Public School, Uttarakhand, India. The Ideal Indian School team achieved remarkable success by winning the overall championship in the boys’ category, including the Under-14 boys’ championship, Under-17 boys’ championship, and Under-19 boys’ second runner-up. In the Under-19 category, Ammar Obaid Qazi won a silver medal and was also awarded the title of Best Player in the Foreign Zone, while Yedhu Krishna earned a bronze. In the Under-17 category, Ahmed Hayan and Mithraj Vinod both claimed bronze medals. Additionally, Mohammed Hassan secured a silver medal in the Under-14 category, making him the first and youngest-ever silver medallist in the Under-14 category from the Foreign Zone, representing the Junior Section of Ideal Indian School. IIS MARKED INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE NON-VIOLENCE (GANDHI JAYANTI)

Ideal Indian School marked WORLD PEACE DAY on 2nd October 2024 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and instill his values and principles among students. Various engaging activities in KG, Junior, Girls’ and Boys’ Sections to raise awareness about the importance of non-violence. Students in the Junior section took part in various activities, including coloring, poster making, and crafting miniature spinning wheels (Charkhas). The highlight of the day was a vibrant procession by students, depicting the three significant stages of Gandhiji’s life To mark this special occasion, the Social Science Department of Ideal Indian School organized a range of activities to commemorate the life and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and to instill his values among the students. Various educational events were held to honor Gandhiji’s legacy. Competitions were organized to encourage active student participation. These included Craft Work, Drawing, Calligraphy Writing, and Chart Making, all centered on Gandhiji’s values. An inter-house Bulletin Board competition was also conducted during the occasion. These activities provided students with an opportunity to express their admiration for Gandhiji’s life and his role in India’s independence movement, while also learning about the relevance of his ideals in today’s world. Students were encouraged to ask questions and discuss Gandhiji’s philosophy and its relevance today, making the program interactive and educational. IIS OBSERVED WORLD HEART DAY

Ideal Indian School observed World Heart Day on Sunday, 29th September 2024, with a variety of engaging activities to raise awareness about the importance of heart health and promote healthy living habits among students. To mark this special occasion, a series of educational activities were conducted. The day started with a speech during the morning assembly, highlighting the importance of a healthy lifestyle for heart health, followed by a pledge to keep our hearts healthy. In the Junior Section, a special morning assembly was conducted, during which students expressed their views on the importance of keeping our hearts fit. A skit titled “The Heart Hero Adventure” was enacted by the students, demonstrating that eating junk food is unhealthy and emphasizing the importance of keeping our hearts strong. The skit also conveyed the idea that exercising helps keep us fit. The Department of Science conducted various awareness programs. Students created posters, PowerPoint presentations, and handmade cards with messages about heart health awareness. These activities allowed students to express their creativity while learning about important heart-healthy habits such as balanced eating, staying active, and avoiding smoking. Students were encouraged to ask questions and participate in discussions, making it an interactive and educational experience. A dedicated workout and yoga session was organised by the sports department, in which students from all grades participated in activities such as aerobics, stretching, and yoga. The session emphasized the importance of regular physical activity for heart health and how exercise strengthens the cardiovascular system. Students learned simple ways to incorporate fitness into their daily routines.

Students from Kindergarten to Class 12 were awarded medals based on their behavior, discipline, punctuality, hygiene, and etiquette. IIS STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN KATARA SPACE SCIENCE PROGRAMME

Students from Ideal Indian School recently took part in the September edition of the Katara Space Science Programme, with 50 students from various classes. Previous editions have been highly successful, with students showing enthusiasm and gaining valuable hands-on experience, fostering both academic and practical growth in space science. The program has been instrumental in inspiring interest in space exploration and future careers. The September edition featured a stellar line-up of expert guest speakers: Prof. Dr. Essam Heggy: A NASA scientist renowned for his work on Mars exploration, offering insights into the latest space science developments. Mr. K Ramachandran: Retired PSLV Director at ISRO, who shared his expertise in satellite launch technologies and India’s space missions. Ms. Lalitha R: Retired ISRO scientist, specializing in cryogenic propulsion, a key technology for launching heavier payloads. Key topics for the month included: “What’s Happening on Mars?” led by Prof. Heggy, who explored recent discoveries and missions to Mars. “Journey of a Scientist” where Mr. Ramachandran and Ms. Lalitha shared their personal stories and career experiences to inspire the next generation. With its hands-on approach and expert interactions, the program continues to be a vital platform for nurturing students’ interest in space science.

IIS HOLDS ISLAMIC AWARENESS PROGRAMME

Ideal Indian School recently hosted the 8th Annual Interschool Uswa-E-Rasool Elocution and Recitation competition with profound reverence and solemnity. The competition featured two topics: “The mercy and compassion of Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) ” for juniors and “Social justice principles established by Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH)” for seniors. In the senior category, Khalid Soban (XI-A) from Ideal Indian School claimed the first position in Qur’an Recitation and in the junior category Mohamed Shaban Naji Eid (VI-D) secured the second position in Qur’an Recitation, while Fatima Khairi (XI-G) in the senior category and Farah Naaz (VIII-J) in junior category earned the second position for Elocution. Remarkably, Among the 15 participating schools in this grand event, Ideal Indian School clinched the overall trophy in Qur’an Recitation, making it the crowning achievement of the event. Mr. Shaikh Shamim Saheb, Principal, IIS extended his heartfelt congratulations to the students, teachers, and participants from other schools. He expressed gratitude towards the event’s convener, Mr. Azam Khan (V.P. Boys Section), and specifically acknowledged the HOD of Arabic, Dr. Ehtesham, and his team for their exceptional success. The Elocution competition had distinguished judges, including Mr. Waheeduzzaman Badiuzzaman (Al Jazeera Media institute, Qatar), Mr. Sheikh Alqama Rajpura (Imam and Khateeb in Awqaf, Qatar), and Mr. Sumama (research scholar in Hamad bin Khalifa University, Qatar). The Qur’an Recitation competition was evaluated by Shaikh Tahir Ibraheem Ali Al-Ahdal (Imam & Khateeb in Awqaf), Qari Abdul Aziz (Imam & Khateeb), and Qari Mohammad Merajul Haq Nadwi (Imam & Khateeb). In the closing ceremony, the Guest of Honor, Mr Waheedzzaman Badiuzzaman, conveyed the message of Islam to the audience and commended the students and the Arabic Department for their unwavering dedication and hard work.
