The Ideal Indian School team, represented by Mohammed Nafih (8A) and Princia Annie Pinto (8I) secured second place in the Interschool Computer Quiz Competition held recently at Bright Future International School. The competition aimed to foster critical thinking, teamwork and problem-solving skills while promoting healthy competition in the fields of ICT, AI, cybersecurity and programming. Junior Section bids farewell to Grade 4 students

The Junior Section of IIS recently organised a special farewell ceremony for the Grade 4 students. This event marked an important moment in their school journey as they prepare to move on to Class 5. Along with progressing to the next grade, they will also transition to the Boys and Girls section, which is a big step in their education. The farewell event, titled “CIAO,” was a lively and memorable occasion, filled with excitement and enthusiasm from the students. The event was graced by the presence of Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb as the chief guest. Heads of various sections and departments also attended the function. Ms. Sharon Metilda Soans and Ms. Aryalakshmi warmly welcomed the students to the event. The program commenced with a prayer by Umama from class 3 F. Ms. Sharon Metilda Soans and Ms. Aryalakshmi hosted the program along with the Grade 3 students. Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb conveyed his best wishes to the students. Mr. Sajid Shamim, Headmaster, addressed the gathering. Each Grade 4 student received memorable gifts as a token of affection. Additionally, students who excelled in academics, co-scholastics and sports were recognized with mementoes, which were presented by Principal Shaik Shamim Saheb.The academic excellence awards were presented to Miqdad Bin Muhammad (4B) for securing the first position, Prenia Adel Pinto (4F) for second place, and Uzair Nijas (4B) for third place. In the co-scholastic category, Diya Nair (4F) claimed the first position, followed by Abdur Rahman (4C) in second place and Deva Nandan Binukumar (4E) in third. Additionally, outstanding performances in sports were recognized, with Andriya Reetha Sojan (4F) and Eshan Muhammed Talish (4E) receiving special honors for their achievements. As part of the celebration, Grade 3 students and Junior Section teachers showcased a cultural program to entertain the Grade 4 students. Ideal Indian School Kindergarten Evening Session recently celebrated its Graduation Day with immense enthusiasm and joy. The event marked a significant milestone for 160 young graduates, who participated in the ceremony with great excitement. Dressed in adorable graduation gowns and hats while holding their scrolls, the little graduates looked delightful as they took center stage. The event was graced by the Principal, Mr. Sheikh Shamim Saheb, who extended his heartfelt congratulations to the students. IIS STUDENTS WIN SCIENCE FAIR

The IIS team, comprising Syed Shamseer, Muhammad Muhsin Alam, Jeswin Selva and Muhammed Dhanish from Class 7, secured first place in the junior category at the Interschool Science Fair Competition, organised by Bright Future International School recently. The project, inspired by the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), centered on designing an eco-city. The team conducted an experiment to power the city using a piezoelectric harvester and solar energy, successfully demonstrating renewable energy models in line with the UN goal of clean and affordable energy. Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, along with the Heads of Section, congratulated the team on their achievement.

IIS GUIDES ATTENDED TRAINING CAMP

Guides from Ideal Indian School recently participated in the Guides Training Camp organised by the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association at the Flower Each Spring Camp in Al Khor. Under the theme “Oasis Guides’ Camp 2025,” the camp was held to honor and celebrate the scouting movement initiated by Robert Baden-Powell. It aimed to enhance leadership, teamwork and essential scouting skills among young Guides. A total of 130 Guides and 15 Leaders from 13 expatriate schools enthusiastically participated in various training sessions, which included Camp Essentials, Signals, Table and Cutlery Set-up, Knots and Rope Work and Team Building Activities. Ideal Indian School distinguished itself by winning the Overall Championship Trophy, reinforcing its excellence in scouting activities. The event was graced by esteemed advisers Mr. Ahmed Khamis (Scout Activities Consultant), Ms. Muna Jumah Al Mansouri (1st Scout Activities Expert) and Ms. Paramjeet Bhullar (Coordinator for Expatriate Schools). The Guides representing Ideal Indian School at the camp were: Isra Mohammed, Aysha Zenha, Melin Susan, Princia Annie Pinto, Cynthia Juda Anthony, Farha Naaz, Malak Khalid, Devananda, Nithya, Niranjana KS, Tanishi Thapa and Samridhi Panwar. Ms. Pishalin Mejo and Ms. Anu Kurian were the teachers in charge. Ideal Indian School honored students with the ‘Star of Ideal’ title in a recent ceremony. Students from Class 1 to 12 were awarded medals based on their behavior, discipline, punctuality, hygiene and etiquette. Mr. Azam Khan, Vice Principal of the Boys’ Section; Ms. Lipsy Sabu, Asst. IIS CELEBRATES 76th REPUBLIC DAY OF INDIA

The 76th Republic Day of India was celebrated at Ideal Indian School this morning with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. School President Dr. Hassan Kunhi M.P hoisted the national flag in the school premises amidst the chanting of the national anthem by the School Choir. Principal Mr.Shaik Shamim Saheb, Heads of the Sections, Staff, Scouts and Guides, School Marching Band, parents and students joined the celebrations. In his Republic Day message, President Dr. Hassan Kunhi M.P reminded the students of their vital role in contributing to the nation’s growth and progress and emphasised that each individual has a responsibility to work towards strengthening the fabric of the country through education, integrity, and service. He urged the students to take pride in the progress our nation has achieved and to reaffirm their dedication to building an India that flourishes by upholding the principles enshrined in its Constitution. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb highlighted the significant contributions and selfless sacrifices of national leaders throughout history, which have been crucial in shaping and strengthening the nation. He also added that the Constitution of India places great importance on fostering social justice, ensuring equality, and upholding fairness for all citizens. The flag-hoisting ceremony commenced with a prayer by Zaid Khalid of Class 9. Through their speeches, students reasserted their dedication to their deep connection to their motherland and urged the youth to honour the country’s rich traditions while striving for its progress. Sara Tarik Parkar of Class 9 delivered her speech in Hindi, while AbduRehman Ismail of Class 9 eloquently expressed his thoughts in English. Adding to the patriotic fervor, students from the Boys’, Girls’, Junior and Evening sessions captivated the audience with a soul-stirring song that evoked feelings of national pride. The school band performed a spectacular ceremonial march, showcasing their synchronized rhythm and discipline. Following this, a grand and respectful guard of honor presented to the Chief Guest by the School Scouts and Guides, adding a sense of dignity and pride to the occasion. Boy Scouts and Girl Guides were honoured with certificates and medals for their valuable services rendered on various occasions. Ihsan Shameer, Asst.Cultural Secretary Boys’ Section welcomed the gathering, Nakshatra, Asst. Cultural Secretary, Girls’ Section proposed vote of thanks.
