IIS LAUNCHED IT CLUB FOR DIGITAL INNOVATION

Ideal Indian School recently inaugurated its IT Club, marking the beginning of a new era in technological innovation and underscoring the school’s dedication to providing students with a state-of-the-art learning environment. Dr. Adnan Abu-Dayya, the Chief Guest and Executive Director at Qatar Mobility Innovations Centre (QMIC), inaugurated the club by unveiling its logo. Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, Heads of Sections, and Heads of various departments attended the function. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb emphasized the school’s commitment in preparing students for the challenges and opportunities presented by the digital age. In his address, Chief Guest Dr. Adnan Abu urged the students, as future leaders and innovators, to embrace transformative technology and utilize their skills to make a positive impact on their community, society, and the global stage. He expressed his hope that the Ideal IT Club would serve as a launchpad, providing knowledge, skills, and aspirations to empower students as active contributors to realizing Qatar’s digital vision, both within and beyond Qatar. The office bearers of the club were officially invested with badges on the occasion, presented by the Chief Guest and the Principal. The office bearers of the IT Club are Akshay Keerthi (President-Boys Section) Mirza Jaffer (Secretary-Boys Section)  Mohd. Farzee (Editor -Boys’ Section), Heba Benny (President -Girls Section), Najla (Secretary –Girls’ Section) and Mourine Mohd (Editor-Girls Section). Earlier, the Club conducted competitions in Poster Making, Video Editing, and Logo Design, and the winners were awarded trophies and certificates on the occasion. Najla of class XI welcomed the gathering and Heba Benny of class XII proposed the vote of thanks. Akshay Keerthi, the cultural secretary outlined the aims and objectives of the club. Muhammed Arsh Syed from class XI and Farah Naaz from class XII hosted the program. Mr. Sajith, Head of the Department of Computer Science Coordinated the function.

ALL INDIA CBSE NATIONAL ATHLETIC MEET 2023-24

IIS team won 2 individual and 1 team bronze medals in the All India CBSE National Athletic Championship 2023-24 under 17 category held at NH Goel World School, India. Winners are Yesyef Halefom 10 A – Discuss Throw, Ihsan Ismail 11 A – 200m and Ihsan Ismail 11 A, Affan Azad 11 B, Ashish P Rejy 11 C and Muzafar 9 D in 4×100 m relay. The athletic team was trained by Mr. Pramod Ravi. The Principal, staff and students of IIS congratulated the team on their remarkable achievements.

IIS TRANSPORT STAFF ATTENDED SAFETY ORIENTATION

The staff of the Ideal Indian School Transport participated in an awareness program hosted by the Traffic Awareness Department and the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Interior on November 28, 2023. The event was held at the auditorium of the Traffic General Directorate. The session addressed several common causes of traffic accidents, including Safety checks and Safety Tips, Automated and Normal Traffic Surveillance Cameras, Mobile phone usage, Red Signal Accidents, Overtaking from the right, Minor and Major Accidents and their Reporting, Yellow box, Pedestrian Accidents, Driving on the fast track, Smart traffic signals, Drowsy driving, Bicycle Safety etc. Furthermore, it conveyed informative messages emphasizing the importance of following traffic safety regulations and implementing correct procedures when handling children in traffic environments.Transport Operation Officer, Mr. Basheer Kaliyath, Transport Supervisor, Mr. Shoukath Ali and all drivers participated in the orientation program. The session proved beneficial for the staff as they gained awareness of common traffic mistakes often committed by drivers.

IDEAL LITERATI HOLDS LITERARY CONTEST

The Department of English of Ideal Indian School hosted the Ideal Literati-an Inter School Extempore and Literary Quiz Competition recently. School Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb inaugurated the competition. This competition brought together a myriad of literary enthusiasts from various Indian schools in Qatar. The extempore competition showcased impressive impromptu speaking skills and quick thinking. Aadharsha Ilan Chezhiyan of DMIS secured the first position, Thejus Aravind of DPS secured the second position and Farha Naaz of Ideal Indian School secured the third position. The judges of the competition were Sushma Harish, the author and distinguished toastmaster and Vijylata Valluri, an experienced teacher in English and a charter member of the Aurora Toastmasters Club. The Inter School Literary Quiz fostered literary knowledge and camaraderie among students. Mr Mansoor Moideen, a well-known quiz master led the quiz competition. DPS Modern School claimed first place in the quiz with team members Atmika Vishwanath and Rida Imtiyas Khan. Rajagiri Public School secured second place with team members Archana Soman and Shruti Rajeev, while Ideal Indian School took third place with Sri Hari Anil and Amaan Hanees as team members. During the closing ceremony, Principal Shaikh Shamim Saheb congratulated the students, teachers, and participants from the Schools in Doha. He underscored the importance of literature in students’ lives, portraying it as a lifelong companion. He expressed gratitude to Mr. Anwar Sadath, Head of the Department of English, Ms. Bindu Babu, the Event Coordinator and their team for their outstanding success. The Principal also thanked all section heads for their supportive role in executing the innovative Ideal Literati program. The gathering was welcomed by Ms. Ronnie Elizabeth and the vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Rehana Begum. Master Affan Azad and Miss Mayesha Fathima were the comperes of the competition.

IIS OBSERVES CONSTITUTION DAY

Ideal Indian School observed Constitution Day on 26th November. On this day in 1949, the Constitution of India was adopted, and it came into force on January 26, 1950, marking the beginning of a new era in the history of India. ‘Constitution Day’ is a tribute to Dr. Ambedkar, who played a seminal role in the framing of the Indian Constitution as the Chairman of the Drafting Committee of the Constituent Assembly. On the occasion of Constitution Day, the various Sections of IIS organized several programmes to create awareness about some of the salient features of the Constitution of India. In a special morning assembly, the Preamble to the Constitution was read out by all the students. In the Junior Section Students dressed as Dr. Rajendra Prasad and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar gave insightful speeches on the Constitution. Department of Social Science organised a number of programmes including Collage, Flash Card Making, Quiz Poster making etc. An instructional period was devoted to speaking to the students about the Constitution and briefing them about the contributions made by the founding fathers. A documentary on Samvidhan Diwas –The Making of Indian Constitution was shown to educate them to a better understanding of the Constitutional principles and foster a sense of pride and responsibility among students. IIS CELEBRATES CHILDREN’S DAY

Ideal Indian School celebrated Children’s Day with immense enthusiasm, marking the 134th Birth Anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of independent India. Nehru, a visionary and exemplary leader, envisioned the future of a sovereign India through the innocent faces of children. November 14 is a tribute to Nehru’s commitment to the welfare, education, and development of children and youth. During the celebration, teachers and students shared insights into the life and contributions of Jawaharlal Nehru, reflecting on his visionary leadership. Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, the Principal, addressed the gathering, emphasizing that children represent the most beautiful creations on Earth. He underscored the significance of spreading happiness around them and extended heartfelt wishes to all the children on their special day, expressing his love for them. The event was filled with lively performances, as teachers entertained students with songs and dances. To make Children’s Day memorable, various games were organized, engaging the children in a joyous celebration.

IIS CELEBRATES 39th ANNUAL DAY

Ideal Indian School celebrated its 39th Annual Day recently with vibrant colours and festive cheer, showcasing magnificent cultural performances by students from the Kindergarten, Junior, Girls, and Boys Sections. The event was graced by the presence of the distinguished Chief Guest, School President Dr. Hassan Kunhi M.P, and Guests of Honour: Mr. Sachin Dinkar Shankpal, the First Secretary of the Embassy of India; Mr. Manikantan A P, President of the Indian Cultural Centre; Mr. Deepak Shetty, Vice President of ICBF; Ms. Suma Mahesh Gowda, Head of Cultural Events at ICC; Ms. Sushmita Pattanaik, Member of International Toastmasters; Mr. Anwar Hussain, CEO of Malayalam 98.6 FM; and Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, along with the Heads of Sections. Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb presented the Annual Report, emphasizing the school’s commitment to setting high standards and goals in academics, sports, events, discipline, leadership, management systems, and more.  A minute of silence was observed in honor of those who lost their lives in the war in Palestine. The Annual Day at Ideal Indian School is an occasion to honor students for their outstanding performance in CBSE examinations each year. Gold and Silver medals were awarded to school rank holders and individual subject toppers in the classes 10 and 12 examinations held in April-March 2023. The school staff, who completed 15, 20, 25, 30, and 35 years of dedicated service to the school, were also felicitated during the occasion. In recognition of their dedication, commitment, and contributions to the school, the school staff were also honored with excellence certificates. The evening drew a large audience of students and parents. The highlight of the day was the grand cultural display titled ‘An Odyssey to Aspirations,’ featuring around 2000 students from all sections, captivating the audience with a diverse array of performances, including international, folk, western, fusion, and contemporary dances, songs, musical renditions, and multilingual dramas. The gathering was welcomed by Head Girl Mary Stenicka Fernando, and Head Boy Ahmed Mohammed Faisal extended the vote of thanks. The program was coordinated by Dr. Nazima Bi, Vice Principal of the Girls’ Section, Ms. Shirley De Sales, Headmistress of the KG Section, and Mr. Anvar, Media Coordinator. IIS COMMERCE DEPT. UNVEILED TRADE CRAFTERS CLUB EXHIBITION

The Department of Commerce launched the ‘TRADE CRAFTERS CLUB’ with an exhibition held recently at Ideal Indian School.  Mr. Sheikh Shamim Saheb, the Principal of IIS, graced the occasion as the chief guest and inaugurated the club and the exhibition by ribbon cutting accompanied by his team of Heads of sections from Boys, Girls, Junior, and Kindergarten. Ananditha Devi of Commerce and Master Gouri Shankar from Engineering and Graphics welcomed the gathering. In his keynote address, the principal shared words of wisdom, emphasizing achievements and how to become realistic heroes in the field of commerce through dedication and commitment. The exhibition drew students from classes 10, 11, and 12, showcasing a variety of creative, innovative, and upcoming commerce projects. Students exhibited their talents and mastery through special projects, including Travel agencies using AI, Line management of Saudi Arabia, Cryptocurrencies, a Dictionary of business, Smart city development, vending machines, Working models of ATMs, GST, etc. All models and project presentations were collaborative efforts by students of 11 and 12 commerce. The Intellectual Game organized by them raised awareness of commerce among visitors, attracting many. The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Master Eyad. Overall, the exhibition, orchestrated by the Trade Crafters Club through the Department of Commerce, was an immense success, promoting the importance of commerce both academically and professionally.

ISIT BY SCOUTS & GUIDES DELEGATES IN NEW RECRUITER TRAINING PROGRAMME

Newly recruited Scouts and Guides from Ideal Indian School actively participated in the ‘Basic Training Program’ meticulously organized by the school. This event coincided with the visit of esteemed delegates from the ‘Qatar Scouts & Guides Association.’On this occasion, Mr. Ahmed Khamis B Al-Yousef (Scout Activities Consultant), Ms. Muna Jumah Al-Mansouri (1st Scout Activities Expert), and Ms. Paramjeet Bhullar (Scouts & Guides Coordinator for Expatriate Schools) paid a visit to Ideal Indian School. The program commenced with a dignified ‘Guard of Honour’ extended to the Scouts & Guides dignitaries and the school’s Principal, Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb.The ceremony gained momentum as Head Scout Bhavith Babu ceremoniously raised the Qatar National Flag, accompanied by the inspiring strains of the ‘Qatar National Anthem.’ The formal proceedings began with a prayer by Scout Mishal Mustafa. Guide Akshaya Jayaprakash extended a warm welcome to the guests, the Principal, and all the attending Scouts & Guides. The formal function was hosted by Guide Riti Milan Doshi, who also provided a comprehensive overview of the training program.Further enriching the event, Guide Venika Anil delivered an insightful presentation on the Scouting Movement, covering its history, principles, laws, promises, values, and motto. To conclude the program, Head Scout Bhavith Babu extended a gracious vote of thanks.The training sessions for the new recruits were thoughtfully divided into five distinct stations. At each station, Scouts and Guides received training in a range of vital life skills activities, including Types of Knots and their practical applications, Scout Uniforms and scarves, Camp Setup, Campfire skills, and First Aid.Following the training session, the Scouts & Guides delegates convened for a meeting with the school Principal and the Scouts & Guides Leaders. During this meeting, they shared highly positive feedback and expressed deep appreciation for the school’s dedicated efforts in organizing such an effective training program for Scouts & Guides. Additionally, they actively planned for forthcoming Scouts & Guides events. A total of 64 newly recruited Scouts & Guides, along with their senior counterparts, attended this enriching training program. Ideal Eco Club’s Seed and Sapling Planting Initiative

The Eco Club at Ideal Indian School is committed to promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices. In line with our mission, we organized a seed and sapling planting initiative with the aim of contributing to a greener and healthier environment. The primary objective of this seed planting event was to increase awareness among students about the importance of planting trees in combating climate change and promoting biodiversity. The event took place in both the Girls’ and Boys’ sections. Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb inaugurated the event by planting the seeds. Teachers provided a brief demonstration on the correct way to plant seeds/saplings, emphasizing the importance of soil quality and the appropriate depth for planting. All participants, including students, teachers, and volunteers, actively engaged in planting the trees. Each participant took part in the process, from digging the holes to placing the seeds and saplings in the pots and watering them.
