IIS Launches Smart Class Education Programme

Ideal Indian School recently inaugurated the second phase of its Smart Class Education Programme with LED interactive panels. This cutting-edge educational technology, equipped with Teach software, provides a learning environment that integrates advanced interactive programs. The programme was officially launched by School President Dr. Hassan Kunhi MP by cutting the ribbon and switching on the LED panel. Ideal Indian School recently held an Orientation Programme for its teachers, highlighting the school’s commitment to ensuring the faculty stays informed about the latest advancements in education and teaching practices. The programme aimed to familiarise teachers with modern teaching methodologies, innovative educational technologies and effective classroom management techniques. Through interactive sessions and discussions led by experts, teachers acquired fresh strategies and practical tools to enhance their teaching abilities and foster a more engaging and dynamic learning experience for students. The orientation began with an inspiring session by Dr. Nazima Bi, Vice Principal of the Girls Section, on the topic “Teachers as Emotional Anchors: Supporting Students’ Well-being.” In her session, Dr. Nazima emphasised the vital role teachers play in nurturing their students’ emotional and mental health. She highlighted how a supportive teacher-student relationship can positively impact academic performance, self-esteem and overall well-being. Following this, Mr. Sajid Shamim, Headmaster of the Junior Section, conducted an engaging session on “Effective Classroom Strategies for Better Outcomes.” His presentation focused on practical approaches to enhance classroom teaching and maximize student engagement. IIS BIDS FAREWELL TO OUTGOING STUDENTS

In a spectacular ceremony, Ideal Indian School bid farewell to the outgoing students of class XII. The recently held ceremony was meticulously planned and executed by the students Class XI of both Boys’ and Girls’ Sections. The outgoing students recounted their days in the school and expressed their gratitude to the teachers for their painstaking efforts in shaping their personalities. They also thanked their juniors wholeheartedly. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb extended his best wishes to the outgoing students as they prepared for their upcoming exams. He emphasised the importance of hard work, determination and self-belief, urging the students to approach their future with enduring passion and resilience. The Heads of both the Boys’ and Girls’ Sections addressed the gathering, offering words of guidance, encouragement and best wishes for the future endeavors of the graduating students. A ceremonial cake-cutting session served as a symbolic gesture to mark the joyous occasion, bringing a sense of unity and festivity to the gathering. QATAR NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATED AT IIS

Ideal Indian School celebrated Qatar National Day in a grand and vibrant manner, featuring a variety of activities that highlighted its deep-rooted connection to this great nation. In his keynote address, Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb extended heartfelt congratulations to the rulers and the people of Qatar on the occasion of National Day. He commended the vision of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamed Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar and Father Emir His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and the Qatar Government which helped to build a modern and advanced state of Qatar to meet the aspirations and hopes of the people with further development, progress and prosperity. He added that National Day celebrations unite the school in fostering Qatari pride and national identity among students. The event featured an array of colorful performances by students from the Kindergarten, Junior, Girls’ and Boys’ sections, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Qatar. The program began with a prayer by Zaid Khalid, followed by the National Anthem of Qatar performed by the School Choir. Speeches expressing love for Qatar were delivered in Arabic by Khalid Zoban and in English by Venika Anil. The Assistant Cultural Secretary of the Boys’ Section, Ihsan Mohammed, welcomed the gathering, while the Assistant Cultural Secretary of the Girls’ Section, Nakshatra, proposed the vote of thanks. The event was hosted by Aseel Elfatih and Rishi Balan. A highlight of the celebration was a grand procession within the school premises, where hundreds of students participated with enthusiasm. IIS OBSERVED SUSTAINABILITY WEEK

The Eco Club of Ideal Indian School conducted various activities in the Boys’ and Girls’ sections on Sustainability Week from 8th to 12th December 2024-25 to promote environmental awareness, health, and sustainable practices among children. Eco Kids Junior Section also actively participated in various activities including Plantation Drive to increase awareness among the students about the importance of planting trees in combating climate change and promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices. The students and teachers pledged to be responsible for the environment. Day 1: POSHAN Abhiyaan (8th December 2024) – The day began with a pledge-taking ceremony in the morning assembly to emphasize the importance of nutrition. Green badges were distributed to teachers and Heads of Sections. Students from Grades 5 and 6 participated in an essay writing competition on the topic “Shree Anna: The Powerhouse of Nutrients.” A group discussion titled “Let’s Talk About Anemia” was conducted during science periods to spread awareness about anemia. Day 2: Plastic-Free Day (9 December 2024) – Students participated in an awareness walk with placards on reducing plastic usage and pasted posters to spread the message. Students observed a plastic-free day by avoiding plastic tiffin boxes, bottles, and disposables, while teachers conducted lessons on reducing plastic dependency. A debate on “Plastic vs. No Plastic” was organized for Grade 11 and 9 students to discuss the benefits and drawbacks of plastic use. Day 3: Tree Plantation (10 December 2024) – Students of various classes participated in a plantation activity by bringing and planting saplings, encouraging greenery. Students made eco-friendly bird feeders using materials like coconut shells, thread, and glue, promoting care for wildlife. Day 4: Save Electricity and Water (11 December 2024) – Students created items from waste materials as part of a “Best out of Waste” activity. They prepared PowerPoint presentations and placards on conserving electricity and water to raise awareness. They also engaged in report writing and poster-sticking activities by inspecting taps for leaks and placing posters promoting water conservation in washrooms. Day 5: Clean-Up Drive (12th December 2024) – Students of various classes participated in the “Clean My Desk Campaign,” ensuring cleanliness during their classes. They carried out a corridor clean-up activity during the first and second breaks, maintaining hygiene in common areas. Sustainability Week 2024 successfully inspired students to adopt eco-friendly habits and created awareness about crucial global issues like nutrition, waste management, and resource conservation. A JOURNEY THROUGH SPORTS

EXPLORING HISTORY, SCIENCE, AND INSPIRATION: Students of junior section of Ideal Indian School recently visited the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum. This educational trip aimed to provide students with a deeper understanding of the history and cultural impact of sports, both in Qatar and globally. The visit offered an engaging, interactive learning experience that left students inspired and excited about the world of sports. The museum trip began with the World of Sports section, where students explored the evolution of sports through exhibits of ancient equipment and interactive displays. In the Olympic Gallery, they learned about the origins of the Olympic Games and viewed medals, torches, and memorabilia. The Qatar’s Sporting Journey exhibit highlighted Qatar’s role in global sports, including its preparations for major events like the FIFA World Cup. A key highlight was the Sports Lab, where students engaged in hands-on activities to test their speed, agility, and strength, gaining insights into the science behind sports. The trip deepened students’ understanding of sports history, Olympic values and Qatar’s achievements while promoting sportsmanship and teamwork. IIS STUDENTS VISIT AL ZUBARAH FORT

As part of a Heritage Club activity, Ideal Indian School recently organised a visit to Zubarah Fort with 81 students from both the Boys’ and Girls’ sections. This educational visit aimed to provide students with an immersive learning experience about Qatar’s rich cultural and historical heritage. During the visit, the students had the unique opportunity to explore the excavation site at Zubarah. Official guides accompanied the team and offered detailed explanations about various aspects of the site, including the palace, watchtower, southern masjid ruins, market, date processing areas, house constructions, trash booms and water storage facilities. The interactive session helped students gain a deeper understanding of the importance of excavation in preserving historical structures and cultural practices. The students displayed great enthusiasm and curiosity, engaging actively with the guides to learn about the fort’s significance and its role in showcasing Qatar’s rich culture and heritage. The visit to the Zubarah archaeological site also encouraged students to appreciate the efforts involved in maintaining and studying historical sites.

The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to modern agricultural techniques and sustainable practices. During the trip, students explored various advanced farming methods and innovative technologies used in agriculture today. They gained first-hand insights into sustainable agricultural practices, learning how these approaches contribute to environmental conservation while ensuring food security. The students actively engaged in interactive sessions with experts at the complex, who shared their expertise on modern farming techniques, irrigation methods and the use of renewable resources in agriculture.
