IIS CELEBRATED GARANGAO WITH TRADITION AND CULTURAL RICHNESS

Garangao is a traditional festival celebrated in Gulf countries, particularly Qatar, on the 14th night of the holy month of Ramadan. This festival holds great significance, especially for children. Ideal Indian School recently celebrated Garangao in a traditional manner. Students from the Junior, Boys’, Girls’ Sections, and the Evening Shift dressed in colorful traditional attire and carried baskets and bags decorated with bright colors and patterns. Principal, Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, along with the headmaster, Mr. Sajid Shamim and Section Coordinator, Ms. Jeseena, distributed Garangao goodie bags filled with nuts to the children.In the Boys’ Section, Vice Principal Mr. Azam Khan attended the celebration, while in the Girls’ Section, Vice Principal Dr. Nazima Bi Shaikh and Headmistress Ms. Khatija T.C. were also present.

The Garangao celebration was a memorable occasion that allowed students to engage with Qatari culture while enjoying a day full of fun. It fostered a sense of community, respect for traditions, and enthusiasm among the students. The school eagerly anticipates continuing this annual celebration to uphold and promote cultural values.
