Students of Ideal Indian School recently visited Al Thuraya Planetarium at Katara on an educational trip organised by the Ideal Astronomy Club. Around 80 students from the Girls’, Boys’ and Evening Sessions participated in this exciting experience.
The highlight of the visit was the dome-cast show The Stars at the Sky Theatre. This visually stunning presentation took students on a mesmerising journey through the vastness of space, offering a closer look at celestial bodies such as stars, galaxies, constellations, nebulae, black holes, the Sun, the Moon and all the planets in the solar system. As the enormous dome screen projected breathtaking visuals, the students were captivated by the wonders of the cosmos, gaining valuable insights into the mysteries of the universe.
Following the show, the students explored the Museum of Astronomy, which featured models of rockets, space shuttles, space suits, and planets, further enriching their understanding of space exploration.
The trip was a remarkable learning opportunity, allowing young astronomy enthusiasts to expand their knowledge of the universe. The Ideal Astronomy Club extended its heartfelt gratitude to Al Thuraya Planetarium officials for facilitating such an enlightening experience.
