IIS ORGANISES IIS MUN 2026: Ideal Indian School recently organised the second edition of the IIS Model United Nations Conference, which witnessed remarkable enthusiasm and commendable participation from students of the Senior Section. The event was organised by the Department of Social Science and held under the central theme, “Reigniting Diplomacy Beyond Borders,” the conference underscored the indispensable values of cooperation, diplomacy, and integrity in addressing pressing global concerns. The proceedings commenced with the Opening Ceremony, during which the Acting Principal, Mr. Mohammad Azam Khan, delivered a thought-provoking and inspiring address. He highlighted the pivotal role of youth in restoring global trust and fostering constructive international dialogue. Following the inaugural session, delegates proceeded to their respective committees to commence formal deliberations. Students from Classes IX to XI assumed their roles with exceptional enthusiasm and commitment. While some participants represented various nations as delegates, others served as student officers (chairs), entrusted with moderating debates and upholding procedural decorum. The conference comprised five committees — GA1 (DISEC), GA2 (ECOFIN), UNSC, UNHRC, and WHO — each simulating real-time deliberations on significant global issues pertaining to international peace and security, economic stability, and human rights. The committees conducted three intensive sessions during which delegates engaged in rigorous debate, diplomatic negotiation, and collaborative problem-solving. Their discussions reflected a profound understanding of contemporary world affairs and international governance.
