IIS HOLDS TEACHERS ORIENTATION PROGRAMME

Ideal Indian School recently held an Orientation Programme for its teachers, highlighting the school’s commitment to ensuring the faculty stays informed about the latest advancements in education and teaching practices. The programme aimed to familiarise teachers with modern teaching methodologies, innovative educational technologies and effective classroom management techniques. Through interactive sessions and discussions led by experts, teachers acquired fresh strategies and practical tools to enhance their teaching abilities and foster a more engaging and dynamic learning experience for students.

The orientation began with an inspiring session by Dr. Nazima Bi, Vice Principal of the Girls Section, on the topic “Teachers as Emotional Anchors: Supporting Students’ Well-being.” In her session, Dr. Nazima emphasised the vital role teachers play in nurturing their students’ emotional and mental health. She highlighted how a supportive teacher-student relationship can positively impact academic performance, self-esteem and overall well-being. Following this, Mr. Sajid Shamim, Headmaster of the Junior Section, conducted an engaging session on “Effective Classroom Strategies for Better Outcomes.” His presentation focused on practical approaches to enhance classroom teaching and maximize student engagement. Mr. Sajid shared innovative strategies for lesson planning, time management and differentiated instruction to cater to the diverse needs of learners. Ms. Khatija TC, Headmistress of the Girls Section coordinated the orientation programme.
