Home Science students from Class 12 of IIS recently visited Hotel Traffen House at Msherib, Doha, for an insightful exposure to the hospitality industry. The visit began with an informative session led by the hotel’s General Manager, followed by a guided tour. During the visit, students received firsthand insights into key departments such as the front office, housekeeping and food and beverage services. They were also given the unique opportunity to participate in the day-to-day operations of these departments, gaining a practical understanding of how they function.
A highlight of the trip was an interactive cooking session in the hotel’s star-rated kitchen, where students experienced the thrill of culinary work. The visit was an enriching experience, offering students invaluable knowledge about the hospitality industry.
